Woke up today at 78.05, heavier because yesterday was quite full hand was forced to have 80% of my carbs in the evening lol. Also woke up with a sore throat which “stayed” up until the pre meal wierdly enough.
Upper 2 went “ok”, progressed on some movements which is the bare minimum to make it a 6/10 sesh in a growing phase, everything else was below sufficient: energy wasn’t there, felt almost tired, had no pump (even tho I took a v good pump pre workout), and there was no feeling on 90% of the movements.
Sessions like this can and will happen, it’s just about now learning how to handle them and not feel like a piece of shit because of it.
– sa lat row 52.5×8+1L x7+1R, 40×14+1L x16+1R—added 2.5 both sets, first lost 2-3 reps, second lost 3-2 reps.
– 30° db incline press 46×4, 37.5×10—matched both sets.
– 60º db incline press 40×7, 30×12+1—matched the first and +2 the second.
– Dips 40×7, 20×11—both +1.
– Machine lateral raise 50×11, x9, x7—all with LPs and first two matched with +5kg.
– Lat pulldown 80×10, 60×14+1—lost 1 with 2.5 more, second set lost 2 with 5kg more.
– Upper back row 95×10, 80×10+1, 65×14+1—first +2, second +1, third match.
– Rear delt row 50×13, x10—both with partials, first -1 +5kg, second matched.
– Behind the body bicep curl 40×6, 35×7+1R x8L, 30×12+1R x13L
– Tricep oh db ext 14×11, x8
Well done on getting this session done all circumstances considered. Keep an eye on that sore throat so that if symptoms persist don’t be afraid to talk and extra rest day .

I would pick one hinge variation, stick it on day 1 and see how I get on ..do it for a few weeks first see if I am able to progress and recover and it doesn’t affect other sessions then it’s a go from there

Just got back in this evening after a long day of travelling, delays and cancellations galore .. don’t even have my suitcase as it wasn’t loaded on the connection from London to Manchester but it’s all good .
Overall it’s been a good trip . A productive trip and so am glad I took it . Now time to catch up with my sleep .

An early one this Morning .. we had to get and early workout as Jordan had a flight to catch . We trained push at iron university which is quite a dope gym .
The owner Aldo has been very hospitable and accommodating. Grateful for that..
We had a great session in there..atmosphere was good .

A fantastic day spent with Jordan . We went straight to the gym from airport and trained pull . We filmed the session so hopefully will share that either on YouTube or in reels .We then went to the Roman baths which was an experience . It was soooo good .. there was loads of rooms (saunas, steam rooms , shower rooms , mud baths , the lot ..) never seen anything like it .. definitely worth going to though.
A Japanese meal to cap the day & i am back in the flat a very sleepy pup

It depends what else you have at your disposal . But you can also use a dumbell dead stop high incline press set up on the squat racks .A good fourth would be cable as well .. maybe low incline cable crucifix lateral raises ?

Hello people , I had a good second day of the seminar yesterday. I’ll need a few days to reflect on everything but the initial feeling this morning is one of gratitude that I was able to be a part of it …
How I look at it is everybody doesn’t know something, everybody knows something else . Everybody can’t do something, everybody can do something else. So we can always learn something new from everybody.
Plan today is a friend of mine Jordan shallow has flown in from Canada , so we are going to train back I think , then hit the Roman baths after (which is a tradition if you come to Miami apparently) , then followed by food after .
Looking foward to it .

JM pressPush down is an isolation and can go anywhere. But the compounds demand more and give you more therefore it would be helpful to prioritise them .

If high have disposable income , I’d encourage you to get a one off 1-1 session from one of the athletes on here & they can really highlight stuff for you to work on from an intensity/execution standpoint. Then all that’s left it’s to rinse the next push up for all it’s got and maximise returns
