    13 days out…energy at an all time low…walking is an effort, so much that a 15 minute walk took me 35 minutes this morning. Lol
    But this is a good indicator that we are in the right spot at the right time .

    A lot of contest prep I feel is determined during this latter stages, when the tank is on empty, fatigue is high and the mind is playing games.

    Question is do you ease your feet of the pedal & convince yourself you can get away with doing less do you put your foot down full throttle stick to the plan & carry on walking the designated path.. that answer for me is easy.
    @samking104 we are taking everyday st a time and since I check in daily we asses all variables ahead buddy .

    Getting it done, you know the drill. The body will do everything in its power to slow you down and conserve any energy. So easy to think ‘ahhh I’ll just rest today, body needs it’. Often it is just a defence mechanism. Fine line between calling your body’s bluff and overreaching too far. If training’s still progressing and you’re recovering, man the f*ck up haha.

    It is definitely the later stages of prep that really test you and you can easily slip from 1st to 5th (I not worse) in the last few weeks if you’re not careful. Less is more definitely and the stricter you are in your offseason makes prep that little bit easier.

    Not long to go, but the mind is set so the body will follow – no doubt. Looking forward to this final stage and seeing the final result!

    11 days I had a pep talk from Jordan yesterday that absolutely revitalised my energy levels .
    Jordan is a top coach and his timing was very very impressive. He was bang on time and almost knew I needed this pep talk. Not that I was giving up, but he knew I needed a second wind to get me over the hill .
    As I trained today I trained with purpose, (i always have) , but there was extra rage mixed with intense focus today.
    I wasn’t taking no for an answer.
    And I took pbs in almost every movement. Be it in extra reps or load. I was very happy with the session.
    It consisted of
    T bar row : 5-9 , 9-12

    •Atlantis pulldown with Prone D handles : 5-9 , 9-12

    •Atlantis plate loaded seated row : 5-9 , 9-12

    •single arm Atlantis pulldown : 1×12-15

    •rear delts 3 x12

    •bicep curl 1×5-9 1 RP 12-8-6

    Hello guys so leg day today…I called it the penultimate session as the next time it’s leg day it’ll be a week on Sunday at what point I’ll be 1 week out. So the goal at that point won’t be causing muscle damage, but more just focused on driving blood into the muscle.
    I had a very good session with @kuba1000hotmail-co-uk-cielen at ultra flex In Rotherham. He auto regulated the session to match my recovery demands at this point of prep. We still kept the loads at max but left a few reps in the tank each set. The goal being accuracy & not over kill.
    It’s important at this point of prep to adapt a push pull approach in terms of your training as opposed to pushing each session balls to the wall & eventually driving yourself to the ground and having the following sessions unproductive.
    I got home feeling so positive, rest day Tomorrow & then we take another 2 days of training consecutively on pull followed by Delts .
    Today’s sessions was as follows
    Full session

    Prime leg ext x2

    Prime leg curl x2

    Atlantis hack x2

    Prime leg press
    ( load in bottom)x2

    Atlantis single leg curl x2

    GHR X 1

    Standing calf raise x3

    Stretching and some posing with Oscar to finish

    Hello guys so 2 weeks out, Jordan has pulled all the carbs off my intra except on leg day where I have 25g sustain. And my post workout cereal reduced.
    So it’s getting very real now with a sign of slow depletion starting.
    We had a push session today and it was productive considering the circumstances so very happy. With a PB on the top set

    Yes that’s a great idea as Lara has also suggested. Maybe add a few carbs around your training on Thursday and Saturday game days..

    DENSITY/LEG DAY smashed today even getting a PB on the top set .

    So yes I’m starting to reap the rewards of cardio being dropped. As it also means I’m also getting an extra hour in bed.

    No my treatments will go all the way to peak week. We work on a lot of things..muscle separation , draining , mobility which will cross over and affect posing, fascial release which will also help in making my muscle not only look symmetrical by releasing knots and all that.

    Damn right Jordan should be happy! Definitely resembling a mini Shaun Joseph Tavernier or Roc Shabazz now haha.

    Still smashing out deadlifts this close out – I take my hat off to you! Reckon you’ll be able to push to the magic 300 mark once in full blown offseason?

    Obviously the amount of treatments you get can quickly mount up and for a lot of people, they can’t justify the cost although they’re aware of the benefits. Don’t have to answer, but on average what would you say your weekly spend on recovery treatments is currently?

    Two hours of posing? Jeez, no cardio required that day! Any shots that are currently a priority or that you find difficult to nail consistently?

    6 weeks ago I booked 10 sessions and the physio gave me 2 on top to take me into peak week. He charged me 400ÂŁ.
    It’s not cheap with everything else I then gotta get on top like food and assistance but I’m still fortunate enough to be sponsored under the best brand & have my supplements catered for monthly. So what I’d be spending on those I use to give back to my body which gives me so much .
    300kg is too far off reach yet, between last season & this season I only put on 16kg on the bar.
    So I’ll take another 16-20kg in the next 12 months . That’ll leave me at 260kg for 5 reps.
    Yes the posing was very tough but at this point it’s necessary..: )

    Hello guys , so day off training today.. energy levels weren’t too bad surprisingly even though I run 0 carbs … and just protein & minimal fats.
    I spent my day in Leeds where Rosie put me through 2 solid hours of posing. That left me absolutely done in.
    But it was very necessary as at this point there’s no time to waste but get that routine nailed.
    Push tomorrow which I’m very much looking forward to 🙂

    DENSITY/LEG DAY
    2.5 weeks on the dot today . Very very productive session and even a cheeky PB on the RDL.
    I have uploaded a few snippets in my instagram young_4040.
    I have also had a treatment straight after and it should set me up well for 2 hours of posing tomorrow .
    Session was as normal today, but changed one movement.
    •RDL 5-9,10-12
    •seated lat pull down using prime D Handles 5-9,10-12
    •extreme row (single arm) RP 10-6-4
    •seated hammer leg press 1×30 reps
    •standing ham curl 5-9,10-12
    •adductor RP 12-8-6
    A very well deserved day off tomorrow that will be spent posing with Rosie for 2 hours as we look to polish the routine .
