Hey again Kuba.

I see you often do a seated prime row. We have a similar one at my gym by Panatta. (Gym owners in Norway seem to have an obsession over Technogym or Panatta) May not be as good as Prime, however I wondered if this is a good replacement for standard one-arm dumbell rows. In some gyms the dumbells arent heavy enough.

In both exercises the elbow travels along the tigh to across the hip.

Depends on how hard you are training. Since says 10 to 20 sets per week is optimal depending on the person. If you train like Jordan which few are able to do then 10 is enough.

If not then you perhaps need more.

If you are having progress here then I say keep at it.

I second Clare here. Scott McNally with Dusty Hanshaw, Ron Parlow, Scott Stevenson, Dave Crosland is all the best info you can get out there.

Next to that I think Fouad is doing an amazing job except they also talk about a lot of non-training stuff as well.

Personally I use anything as long as its real and good quality and doesnt affect my sleep and appetite. If that is EQ then I will use EQ.

Personally I feel great the on it. This is very person dependant.

Primo which is very popular in UK now is extremely expensive and faked a lot here in Norway so its a No go for me.

120 Euros for a bottle of 10 mls.

Is that the bottom of your squat? You may benefit on going deeper for more leg emphasis overall.
The way your doing it, this is more of a posterior chain emphasis squat. It will help your hamstring and lower back tremendously for deadlift, rdl, SLDL. It also develops great upper back strength, as the bar is pushing your forward.
A more leg or quad dominant way is to keep the handles pushed up high, this will force you to be more upright. MST strength on insta does a good breakdown of different ssb squatting styles.
Safety bar squats are versatile, you can do them more posterior emphasis (as I believe yours is, but hard to see from just a photo) or more leg dominant in the style I described above.

Not entirely bottom. Was hard to snap a screenshot at the right moment haha.

I will try to push the handles up next time. That was a good idea actually.

I am aware of the all the posterior work going on. I am actually wondering if there is a lot quad going on. I do have actually quite a bit knee flection.

I actually wish they had a more normal SSB where the weight is on front by default.

Thank you

If you lack ankle mobility to have lower feet placement, then I would get a wedge to elevate your heels … that way you’d get more flexion. And also once you get a wedge , you could use pauses to spend more time in that flexed position which really challenges the quads ..

Thank you Oscar

Hey Kuba. 🙂I am eating a lot currently (4500) which is a lot for me. (100 Kg at 174 cm).The phrase “You can only grow from what you can digest” has stuck with me and I am not entirely sure how I am digesting the food I am eating. What are some good markers that digestion is good, and some markers that its bad?Thank you.

Here i would he looking at bloating, gass, bowel movements, blood sugar, appetite and Gastric emptying

It is generally common sense pinpoint digestive issues, if you eat and you don’t burn or are in pain belching or going toilet too often you are fine
Thanks again Kuba 🙂 It wasn’t as complex as I thought.

Hey. 🙂Do you find it troublesome to eat 800 grams of potatoes in one sitting. Do you do any flavouring or spice on it to help you get it down in a reasonable timeframe?

No if I found it troublesome I wouldn’t eat it, just salt and some no added sugar ketchup on the side is perfect. I air fry the potatoes and I like them so dont find it hard
Ok. Thanks for answering. 🙂 Very helpful

Revisiting thread and adding pictures to ask what you think.

To Oscars point this V Squat has an even resistance profile as the plates move in a straight vertical line.

Its also very heavy. I can normaly do 5 plates on Hack for 12 reps.

What I want is great knee flection which is what I like about the Hack Squat.

If this is not good enough for a replacement I need to find a better gym.
