I work with a type 1 diabetic who competes in ifbb pro qualifiers. As he gets leaner and his carbs are reduced his sensitivity improves so we require less insulin. I don’t believe there is a benefit to diabetics using insulin as the manipulation doesnt work the same like it would in someone without it. There’s definitely some disadvantages, when lean he can have hypos randomly that require carbs whether in his plan or not. He will usually remove what he has taken from other meals that day to compensate. Hypos can bring stress on the body and excessive sweating usually followed by water retention for the next day or 2. We have had episodes back stage where he has sweated his whole tan off. He was dry as fuck but it wasn’t ideal. We found a solution to carb up early and use moderate to low carbs leading up to show day to avoid increasing the risk of hypos.

If your on anabolics then weight could have fluctuated or your movement could have been less when your weight went up higher even on the lower overall cals for the week.

I wouldn’t use insulin at all personally.

Rest, rehab and continued maintenance via physio and deep tissue work. Avoid exercises that make it worse and regular stretching is a must.

I’d say less stress is ideal but not realistic as life will always have stresses.

I’d say vit d plus k, omega pro, creatine and l glutamine. I wouldn’t worry too much if your just starting out, just eat healthy and enjoy your training. If you have some extra funds then creatine is good then after this vit d with k.

You would want a meal pre training as suggested above with carbs and a little fat then during training eaas.

Tinned tuna has been a staple of mine for 20 years. I wouldn’t do more than 2 a day but it’s useful as you don’t need to cook when your in a rush.

Hoping you are a very experienced and largely muscled bodybuilder on these doses.

I like medium to low gi foods generally apart from around training. However, as mentioned adding fats and protein will impact the gi.
