Thanks for answering my previous question. New question: is your approach to deloading just decreasing sets but still intensity high & looking for progression on the sets that are still in?

Hi AJ, how are you deciding which path to choose when weight stalls: increase steps, add cardio, or drop food? 🙂

With no cardio and 7.5k steps currently, how has this changed from peak off season?

Not necessary but I would say this depends on your bodyweight a lot if you get very heavy and you realize fitness level is dropping drastically you should definitely incorporate some type of cardio also it helps a lot with recovery if you don’t overdo it .

Well I’m in my teens and only 155 lbs, decently active (~6k steps), so I guess I’m gonna drop out the cardio haha ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sorry if you’ve mentioned this before in the log but what do you do/take to help digestion?

    Hello mate,

So my brief wrap up would be..

    – Overall exercise selection looks solid, but I would always favour the sequence of an isolation leg move prior to any compound. For example, leg ext prior to squat patterns, to help with activation but also to keep you safe.

    – Volume is a little on the high side per exercise. I think once you get to a certain strength you simply won’t be able to tolerate 3 sets on a squat or a SLDL, and before you even get there, the volume will hold you back from achieving peak strength.

    – The microcycle frequency of 2 on one off will most likely work well for a time period, but the upper lower split itself will have a life span which will totally depend on how strong you get over the next 4-6 months.

Overall, things look good, just a few tweaks!

may i ask why doing leg ext before squat patterns keep you safer?
