    … do you blend the oat meals into shakes because i cannot imagine physically eating that amount + how are your shits with that much fiber.. haha ??

    Take them before high carb meals. Not necessarily needed post workout as you’ll already be insulin sensitive from the training. They’d only be useful here if carbs get super high in your post workout meal. There is some evidence that berberine could interfere post workout, but I don’t know how solid that is, however I avoid taking them here incase.

    Thanks. One question – is there a recommended minimum amount of carbs in that meal for a GDA to be used?

    Any reason for opting for a liquid meal mate?

    As Clare and Hilly have also asked, what’s the reason for avoiding fats?

    Liquid because I wan’t something that won’t make me feel it in my stomach while sleeping. For fats, I find I don’t agree with some sources but I will have to experiment with other sources then to see what I can handle.

    A form of casein protein will be your best option with some fats. Typically Greek yogurt, whey and nut butter/dark chocolate. Noticed you prefer not to add fats, any particular reason for that as the combination of a slow released protein and fats to slow it further are ideal?
    Also, couldn’t help but notice a 12 hour gap. Guessing sleep and a bit of fasting?

    I like to leave 2.5-3hrs between the meal and sleeping because any less and I will feel it coming out my throat when lying down haha. If I had casein, would no added fats be fine then?

    With no cardio and 7.5k steps currently, how has this changed from peak off season?

    Peak offseason 30 mins bike plus 8000 steps minimum bud depending on schedule

    Was this to assist appetite and digestion?
