Woke up feeling much better today, the flu is definitely on its way out! Today was glutes and side delts for me. A really good session!
Physique wise we are very nearly there! I’ve probably got another 7 days of pushing then I should be pretty much there and it will be time to start to get fresh!

I full agree with Nathan here.
Firstly you need to make sure you are enjoying your training and your current set up as this is the most important factor.
Every single individual will have a preference of exercise selection and machine used per muscle group based on what feels the best for them. If you have an exercise that you really don’t connect well with (and form is correct) or you find no progressions are being made then switch it out for a different machine or exercise.
Log your sessions.
Progressions won’t always be an increase in load but may be a set performed much better, a change in tempo, or more reps with the same load.
As long as you are enjoying your training, working hard and training to failure there will be no doubt that progression will be made.

Hey! I fully agree with the guys above.
IMO you want to pick a coach that you can work with for minimum 3 months. Unless In this timeframe you aren’t enjoying their coaching style or receiving the correct service you need.
Follow the coaches/athletes that you look up to and whom inspire you. Reach out to them, ask them questions, enquire about their coaching services and how they work and go from there.
Fortunately for yourself , there are alot of knowledgeable coaches within the tbjp team. I’m sure any of the athletes coaching style would be a great fit for yourself and your needs.

Rest day for me today! A rough sleep last night but luckily it was rest day today!
An amazing sports massage with rich this morning , everything boxed off pretty early then me and Alix have watched burlesque. What an amazing film it is. It was nice to just sit and do nothing (as much it is very hard because I feel like I should be doing 1million things) 😂 but it was much needed today! This rest should set me up nicely for glutes tomorrow 🙂

I fully agree with everything the guys state above.
From your comment above it seems clear that your body is ready for a deload, ideally a couple of consecutive full rest days. Sometimes we may feel like we don’t need a break or to pull back as training ‘may’ not be affected. But you also need to assess how is your sleep, appetite, energy, etc.
I would try taking 4 full rest days to start, no cardio, reduce your daily steps and add in a little more food on these days.

Happy Wednesday 🙂
A busy day for me today. Client work this morning, Skype posing sessions, glutes session, facial, more Skype sessions and then an evening of catching up on work bits and bobs.
My lurgy is coming out a little more now, feeling more snotty, which is a good thing that it is clearing! Tomorrow is rest day. I have a sports massage first thing in the morning so I’m expecting a nice drop after tomorrows rest day and massage.
We also have our friend Alix staying with us for a few days so will be nice to have a rest day together tomorrow 🙂

Hey! Fully agree with the guys above! In your mobility and warm up I would add in some banded rows with an iso hold in the contracted position to ensure your mid back is really fired up.

Rest today for me today! Woke up feeling very bunged up, a little snotty and chesty, there’s lots of different lurgys going around at the time of year.
So it’s good that it fell on a rest day 🙂 lots of work done, a little trip to Meadowhall to get my nieces some new clothes as they are growing up too quick.
Tomorrow is glutes and delts! 🤌🏻

I agree with the guys above here, even if running a deload I would keep your nutritional set up exactly the same as the food will aid with your recovery and repair.

I hope everyone is well!
I’ve not done a physique update in a while so I thought I would share a few pics from this mornings check in. Today I hit a new prep low of 141.5lbs, which I’m super happy with! I am very much on track.
Realistically I could do with pulling off another 4- 5lbs in total to ensure I have the condition through my hams & glutes that I need. Which is definitely do able!
Today has also been glutes which was a great session! Yesterdays long day did take it out of me, but on the plus side I like to keep busy to take my mind of ant hunger 😅

Fully agree with Clare here.
I always run with a reduced amount when carbing up. I like to keep in a smaller amount to avoid holding any additional water from to additional food, also I don’t like making too many changes neither.

What a lovely evening we had yesterday at Jordan and Corinne’s! I was that tired on the way home I had to book a hotel room half way home! I then headed straight to Leicester this morning to support clients in a show.
It’s been a very very long day, but I’m grateful to be a part of such a special day for them!

Have you been on the food planner on the app?
I always advice to keep foods in that you really enjoy to avoid any kind of deviation, rather than cutting everything out and this causing you to go off plan and consume extra calories.
Ensure you have lots of nutritious whole foods in your diet with fruits and a variety of vegetables to hit your daily micronutrients.
What is your current expenditure too? Do you track your steps or do any cardio?
