    Hey Micheal,

    I agree with Oscar. Rest pause sets are great though, but you would use a rest pause set as a set intensity if you are wanting to increase volume.

    If food and recovery is in a good place then you would warrant adding additional volume.

    Happy Valentines Day ❤️

    Check in day today, kuba was happy with this weeks look and pictures. Recovery is in a fantastic place at the moment so we have had an increase in training volume and food on lower body days. This will also be my first time utilising insulin.

    Here are my food changes below ?

    Lower Training day food

    10 iu lantus
    – meal 1 – 2 whole 2 egg whites 100g veggies of choice 100g COR 100g berries , 20g dark choc

    – Meal 2 – 100g prawns & 80g rice 150g veggies

    5 iu humalog – Meal 3 – 100g cor 150g frozen fruit mix 30g iso 20g dark choc

    – Intra 25 g mps max 20g sustain 10 g creatine 10 g glutamine

    – Meal 4 5 iu humalog – 125 cor 30g iso 150g fruit

    – meal 5 – 100g low fat beef mince, 200g potatoes/gnocchi 100g veggies/salad of choice

    – Meal 6 – 80g oats & 10g whey, 20g dark choc 200g yoghurt 150g berries

    Here are some pics from check in. At my current weight, if I compare how I felt last improvement season to now, I definitely feel much thicker and I don’t feel like body fat is holding hugely in one place. So I am happy.

    Today was lower day, and a very good strong session it was 🙂

    Hey guys!

    Lovely day today, filled with meeting fiends for a coffee and then going round to my parents for food and family time. It felt like Christmas or a special occasion, there was nearly all of us there! It was great. It’s not often we all get together so that may be one of the last times before prep (was just missing my twin). Yes I have a twin brother to anyone who doesn’t know. He is 9mins order.

    I ended up taking a rest day in the end, which has been nice to spend it with nath and family so will catch back up to sessions from tomorrow.

    It is very person dependent as to whether you feel slightly shakey or not.

    I am very similar to megs, I definitely have the shakes the first few days then by body adjusts and the shakes goes away

    Hey guys!

    Busy day today for me 🙂 A great day in the studio with clients, Skype and in person sessions with a mixture of classes. Which I love.

    I then trained upper, the session started so well, then I felt a slight twinge in my right shoulder, a very old injury that when goes causes me pain whenever I abduct my arm and affects my training.

    Hopefully it was just a minor twinge and will ease in a day or so. Just need to be cautious now to make sure I don’t injure it.

    I agree with both hilly and nath, there’s definitely room to increase carbs both training and rest day. Start of gradually and then assess your physique weekly and the make changes where needed 🙂

    Happy Friday people!

    Rest day for me today. A morning of check ins, a trip for laser hair removal, which has literally changed my life. I started having it a year ago and I think I will continue until my whole body is fully hair free ?

    Finally the cardio kit is in the outbuilding, Nathan’s head may potentially go through the roof ? nightmare, so we shall persevere for a week then if it is an issue we will have to swap one of the machines.

    My friend then called round for a coffee this afternoon ? busy day tomorrow so an evening of bath, hair wash and organising 🙂

    Hey John,

    There are some cruel and nasty individuals out there that say things to make themselves feel better.

    We can’t tell you to fully ignore the comments but what you can do is learn to cope with them. For example if/when someone says something negatively about your physique, stop for a moment and replace the thought with something you are happy with, something you have progressed.

    We haven’t got time to be wasting our energy on negative people. Use the negativity to push on even harder and do what makes you happy. 🙂

    Hey guys!

    Hams & glutes for me today and a really really good session. I am really thinking about the connection I make in my glutes and really making every rep count.

    Then a busy afternoon in the studio with posing clients. It makes it a super long day when I have posing clients and it falls on a training day, But I love it so it’s ok 🙂 I love working with clients in the studio, so many clients are getting closer now to either their first show of the season or starting their prep, and I love being able to share their journey with them. 🙂

    Hey Farbod,

    Both @Nathanstyles and @MarcHector have both done something similar to their pec recently.

    I would advice training unilaterally for push tomorrow so it allows you to train your none injured arm normally which will create a training response, this will also help your injuries pec, and then depending on how bad your injury is, train the injured arm with a lighter / hardly any load. If you train push tomorrow and don’t reduce the load through the injured side, you may run the risk of further injuring yourself more.

    Hey guys!

    Upper day for me with a friend Alix ? it was nice to have her back! The last time she trained out of UF she was prepping for her figure pro debut and every single training session she would say, I am going to the Olympia this year….

    Only a few weeks into prep she moved back home to continue her prep and boy did she nail it. 1st place in her pro debut and off to the Olympia she went.

    A few people doubted her, but she didn’t let this affect her! Just an example of an athlete working hard for something she is passionate about 🙂

    Firstly you want to choose a federation that you would like compete in and pick a class that your physique fits into the best. If you are not sure what class you would fit best into whether this is mens physique, classic, bodybuilding or some federations has muscle model, pop you pictures in here and we can give you some advice on the class to go into.

    Yes I fully agree with Marc, you have a lovely classic look with a very good v taper, it looks like with some practice you would be able to pull a very good vacuum 🙂

    Lots of shows have first timers classes now so I would recommend first timers classic physique. Once you have picked your federation you would need to purchase a seasonal membership for the federation, this is so you are able to compete. Then you want to look at booking your competition.

    Here is some things you will then need to look into sorting / booking:

    Posing trunks
    Posing & posing routine to fit the criteria
    Tan (usually you can book through the federation you compete with)
    Over night stay if needed

    Hey John, I believe that mindset is everything!

    I agree with everything clare has touched on.

    Focus on the good things and make positive thinking a habit. Don’t let other peoples negatively affect you and your goals, so try and practice coping with criticism. Aim to surround yourself with positive like minded people.

    There are lots of podcasts out there that help with mindset and positivity, also mindset coaches are fantastic too.

    Rest day for me today.

    Today consisted of a walk with my sister, mum & baby, new started plans, catching up with emails and cleaning ?

    Tomorrow I am training with Alix smalls at UF so really looking forward to that!

    The electrician comes tomorrow to put the lights and plug sockets in the outbuilding, then we are one step closer to having it finished, in what seems like a never ending job ? a good thing, we have recently received a letter of the council saying our case it closed and they are happy with the work, finally! ??

    Then next job is a crane lifting the cardio equipment over the house, as the delivery guys wouldn’t fit them down the side of the house.

    We are nearly there 🙂
