Hey guys,
Glutes day for me today. My heart rate was higher than usual last night and elevated temperature so not sure if I am coming down with something. My sister and baby was Ill at the weekend so potentially passed something on.
Anyway, I went into todays session knowing I wasn’t going to take any progressions in weight, but solely focus on the reps and execution. A successful session it was.
Then an afternoon in the studio. The driving to and from Leeds is not my favourite at the moment. Maybe it’s time for a change

I know many friends that have ran the course and it has 100% cleared any acne up.
However for me the side affects are extremely harsh and you have to be very careful with your skin and sun light exposure.
I would first try other methods and then have acutane as a last resort.

Check in day today. No changes this week, aiming for a strong week of training
Busy morning of client check ins then today it was upper rotation 1.
I was slightly down on the Atlantis press today, but I didn’t feel weaker. Potentially the stack is heavier than the one at s20 when I train there.

I agree with everything that has already been said here.
Something you also may want to consider, on your rest days you could factor in an outdoor walk as an alternative to heading into the gym. There are many positive benefits to walking outside in the nature, and it is shown to improve overall mood.

Check in day today!
My left glute isn’t recovering as well, this is usually the case when I am ready for a rest or a deload.
Glute volume has been reduced back down to 3 working sets rather than 4, so pre & post COR reduced back down to 125g (from 150g).
Today I have had a long day on the road driving and a shoot for a heels and jewellery company. I really was out my comfort zone doing a shoot this large ?
Was a long busy drive home and then had Check ins to catch up on. Decided to take an extra rest day once I realised it was a full day thing and not a morning thing.
Will be super fresh for tomorrows session now though ?

2 client in person checks in at ours with posing today and 2 new starter client calls.
Then a lovely afternoon for a family meal and evening catching up with my nan.

Before increasing volume I would assess your form and execution, ensure you are performing the exercises correctly and intensity of the set is there to create the muscle stimulus needed for growth. If you are in a surplus, have been progressing with lifts and strength has been increasing for over a year now then this definitely flags up that it may not just be down to the amount of volume.
Something else to consider when assessing volume.
Are you currently consuming enough calories to warrant an increase in volume and recovery not be affected? If you are in a deficit I wouldn’t be increasing volume.

Upper for me today this morning, a nice strong session. Then today I headed off for shopping and lunch out in Manchester with me friends.
I really do love to catch up with all my friends, it’s been such a great day. Really looking forward to tomorrow spending some time with my family too.

Leg day for me today. A lovely session, feeling good, injury free, and I actually feel like I have put on some quality tissue in the lower half. But we shall see when the BF comes off! ?

Rest day for me today.
Feeling good and my body is feeling well rested.
Check ins first thing, followed by admin bits, nail appointment, a nice dog walk with my friend and her pooch, then an evening of client new starter calls.

I agree with all the guys above here. It is very person dependent but with the wellness wellness criteria, they aren’t looking for muscle separation. So training closer to stage will keep the fullness here.
If training closer to stage, I would be mindful not to take your sets to failure, as much as you want to keep the legs full, you don’t want to accumulate any fatigue or inflammation that could affect your look on stage.

Glutes day today
A friend from Scotland travel to join me at UF today, and it was lovely to catch ip with her. She actually turned pro at the Arnold’s last year, and will be starting her prep for this season pretty soon.
I have also seen my sisters and baby nieces today, I love spending time with them so much!
Rest day tomorrow.
