    If still feeling effects from Covid then I’d be looking at just getting back in with reduced volume and not to fail

    Hi Ben i would be looking at

    Upper
    Rest
    Lower
    rest
    repeat

    I would also be look at taking 1 set on compounds leaving 1-2 in the tank and isolation movements for 2 sets with the same principal.

    Pull and Hams today

    Progression again today with this session Which is quickly becoming my favourite session. Cybex VR-2 single arm row may have come to its end of run as its getting harder to brace and created stability now load has gone to 67.5kg…..So today i took 60 x 15 reps and 52.5 x 20 which felt great. Theres obviously more there but the battle between stability and Tracy and effectively targeting the lat is compromised.

    Feeling a little smashed agin tonight – Rest day is well needed tomorrow!

    So as we close in on the start of prep we have taken a slight bump up in calories. My appetite is good, routine is good. So we wanted the toolbox full for prep starting. Body composition holding well.

    The only thing I’ve noticed today slightly was my recovery was a touch down. 5th week on lower AAS so I expected a drop off this week.

    Push went well! And I had some more shockwave after with Kam!

    Rest day consisted of cardio, breakfast with a pal. A long dog walk and some laptop work. And then just chilled. It’s been nice and recharged ready to go again.

    Pull and Arms today, another great session, had to dig a little today, fatigue was setting in. Ready for a rest tomorrow for sure.

    2nd of May the start date for prep….

    Food has been bumped up a touch for the next 10-14 days before we start to bring things in. Composition is in a good place holding at low-mid 330’s so we keep the toolbox full for prep.

    Low androgen use for the next 4-6 weeks so we won’t start the prep cycle until 12 weeks out from the first show. So we should have a nice response as short esters will be used which I haven’t used for a while. Excited to get things moving along now!

    Very successful day all round.

    Great check in. 331.2lbs AM weight fasted

    18 weeks out Tomorrow. Unless we are ready early.

    Another top leg day in the books:-

    Seated calves x 3

    Lying ham curl x 2

    Banded pendulum x 1

    SL leg press x 2

    Leg extension x 2

    Adductor x 1

    SL leg curl x 2

    Progression taken across the board. Feeling In a really good spot here for this years prep. I’m looking forward to getting peeled!

    Posterior and top line was the aim we have brought it up. Now we continue

    Insulin will be fine. The GH won’t have been harmed if it hasn’t been mixed bud as long as it hasn’t t been kept in a warm temperature

    Another top push session today. Strength is still progressing whilst on recovery drugs. Appetite is in a fantastic spot at 6500 kcal’s My sleep has improved, my routine has improved, my digestion is on point. At this point i could push food easily over 7000 kcal’s and be comfortable. So i guess we are in a really good position to prep.

    Session today went as follows:-

    torso supported DB laterals – 10 x 20+5, 12.5 x 15+5. 8 x 20+5
    cuffed clavicular fly – 68 x 15, 59 x 15 – BIG PB
    Nautilus leverage – 3pps x 16, 2+15 x 14 – PB
    JM press – 1.5pps x 21, 1+5 x 30 – BIG PB
    prime side delts – 68 x 15+5, 77 x 12+5, 59 x 20+5
    Arms giant set – due to some tendinitis issues – felt great!

    Legs tomorrow! and check in day!

    Hey Buddy, This is very individual based, based on body composition, feedback on recovery, digestion, appetite and obviously progression in the gym.

    Scale weight doesn’t have to increase on a weekly basis, if you are still taking progressions in the gym it is sometimes holding and solidifying a weight can be very beneficial before a further increase in food. Yes scale weight does need to go up, but there’s not rush, not at the detriment to the above markers mentioned.

    Evening guys.

    335.8lbs this AM holding really well ready for prep.

    Rest day today….After a very successful pull and hams yesterday. Really finding my groove with back training now so this should translate to new muscle on stage.

    Today has been cardio, posing, sports massage…..then literally laptop work all day! Just logging off now as my eyes are square. And im in a good routine of getting up earlier and boxing work off earlier now. Today has just been overly busy due to a 6 week transformation challenge starting Saturday so had 7 new set ups to do!

    last meal about to go in now then it will be a little down time before bed.

    Morning Guys don’t know why my log didn’t post yesterday….but here’s my update

    Yesterday was a busy day we got up and did cardio and some posing, cracked on with work then trained a touch earlier as we went to watch Pheebs brother play football!

    Session went well. Strength on push is still progressing nicely. Even though I’m in a cruise phase. Definitely feeling it this week.

    I have a slight bit of tendinitis in my left forearm think it’s bicep related as hammer curl position and grip absolutely bang! So I’m in to see Kamara Thursday for some treatment.

    Back and hamstrings today! And plenty of work to catch up on!

    Another busy day today at the FitX Manchester we had clients in today both coaching and posing. My client Anton won his class and was very close in the overall….jumped in 3 weeks earlier than planned with no peak, and looked great. A little more sharpness to bring out but he’s going to be very very good. And Pheebs client took 1st in both junior and open bikini! So a great day all round!

    Busy start to the year. And I love it! The fire is lit ?
