Second day back at work & it was a busy one couple of meetings, lots of miles driven and lots of phone calls made but a very productive day.

This evening I’ve walked the dogs, seen my family, cooked food & spoken to one of my friends this evening ????

Back to the gym tomorrow can’t wait!

No need to adjust food IMO – all off season my rest days have been pro/fat and minimal carbs. I just had carbs towards the end of the day to help with fuelling for sessions the following day

Are you prepping or just dieting down like what is the goal?
If your prepping or aiming to get competition lean then yes the feeling of being flat is inevitable so you’ve got to ride through the process.

    Evening All!

First full day back at home after the holiday. I’m not training till Wednesday just to get everything sorted & feel ready to smash training again for the next 6 months.

I had a few client calls today, plus did my admin, I did all washing and sorting from holiday clothes for myself and kuba and then prepped my food ready for tomorrow.
I’m very much ready for an early night & a routine back into my life – got work tomorrow and then I’m off to see my family in the evening ????

I agree with everyone else until you face your fear it will always be there – the longer you put it off the worse you’ll feel about it honestly!

Congratulations on the win…I always use the stairs I feel it’s harder than the bike or any of the other types of machine. But I used treadmill on leg days just so I had more to give in my sessions later in the day

Hey Meg – question for my mrs who after finals in October will be taking a fair bit of time away to move from Bikini to Bikini trained/figure (on PCA standard she’s got so much more size than others in her class (we have watched 4 qualifiers out of the calendar so granted could be bigger) and not saying PCA is the cream of the crop just to help explain the situation!)
She’s currently on a little clen 9 weeks out.. after our finals in October we have our first proper holiday in going close to 2 years so we will sure enjoy that but coming back just before Christmas both our plans are to keep things tight but be sure to make the most of a 18-24 month period. Would there be any good starting point in the way she could approach this?

She’s always trained pretty ‘bodybuilder’ and seems to put on size pretty well doing so – would you just keep incremental movements of food up and push up strength or perhaps go back to a more foundational push pull legs (at whatever frequency she needs obviously) and build up some strong fundamentals?

She has got a fantastic coach who has been through PCA and in 2 Bro’s finals etc however not sure whether we will financially stick with coaches throughout all 24 months of off season – not because we don’t think its important – but balancing costs, a little down time mentally perhaps and we invest in property and think time is right to put our money in that direction for 12 months!

Your take on anything for that transition would be hugely appreciated I know – I introduced her to your Instagram and thats what gave her the bug to move up a class! ????

    Hey Reece,

Could you possibly send some pics through just so I can give a little more guidance?

I’ve never trained like a “bodybuilder” as I’m assuming that’s a bro split I think it’s a waste of time for women IMO and would always do a more push, pull , legs split – if you check my logs you can see all of my sessions on there that could be a good starting point for her.

Jumping from bikini to Figure is quite a huge jump (I didn’t realise how much more I needed to be able to step on stage hence taking more time for offseason). So yes keep things tight as if you ruin it all on holiday you’ll both have a poor start for offseaon. I’ve always had a coach as I feel if I want to be the best I’d want to invest in that but don’t but yourself in a bad financial situation with your goals of buying a house – a coach will always make you stay accountable. But ask as many questions as you’d like on my log and send some pics so I can give a better opinion (also drop the clen straight after show it’s not good to keep on for a long time!!

I’d drop calories don’t think any more cardio needs to be done – when are you doing the LISS? Could be an idea to do it fasted if your not already

If you bulk up your oats with water you’ll find it keeps you fuller for longer

Baby rice is just a lot easier to digest but if you find ground rice does then just have that – I have a mix of both and both are good

Completely agree with Oscar to get very lean you have to go through the feeling flat phase – keep your eyes on the end goal it’ll all be worth it in the end
