Yes the further you get into your diet, the lower cals go therefore the hungrier you are.
I’d limit the extra sugar free stuff you have as it still has added cals and carbs in it and will leave you wanting more. Unfortunately it’s just a case of suck it and see for the most part when it comes to dieting

    Long day!

Started off with a dog wall then I went off to work I had 3 back to back meetings and then a 1-2-1 with my manager all is going well though so a happy bunny about work atm

Then it was a late gym session with Ryan got some extra weight on my shoulder press today (session is attached)

Now for an evening of food prepping and getting ready for tomorrow

    What a cold day!

Started it off with a big dog walk, then I did some admin before going to my client meeting over in Bradford, work is good at the moment slightly stressful due to workload but next week is a quieter week so that’ll be good for getting some paper work done

This evening I’ve trained with my training partner Ryan (session is attached below) and then food prepped for tonight and tomorrow

With training I do 2 sets one heavy 8-10 reps and one back off 12-15
When doing my heavy set when I start going past that 10 rep range I then start to push up the weight

The urge to eat more post competition is always there however like Kuba states you need to be mentally strong to stick to your post competition diet.

Putting in enjoyable foods into your macros will help

Without knowing you and your body it’s very hard for anyone to say what would work for you during a peak.
However one thing I will say is if you are ready then you are ready. If you have a coach 100% stick to what they are subscribing

Like James says I’d look to pull
Cals from somewhere else first like carbs.

Or maybe look at alternative protein options to make cals less

Yes you get further into a deficit portions will get smaller – could use some pickles or green salad to make them slightly bigger

I think if you ensure that recovery is optimal where you give your body the rest it needs, the food it needs and getting some good health supps in like from the JP range e.g. join in, unsure, love heart you’ll be making sure your body has what it needs to train how you want. Your body is only as strong as your mind, don’t allow yourself to think that you are older and cannot do certain things as it in turn won’t do
