    Hey oscar, i know you went for a check up a while back, any idea on whether they got to the bottom what was causing the hiccups youve been having?

    Hello max, i did see a gastroenterologist who prescribed omeprazole tablets which I’ll finish in the next 2 days .
    We also did a stool test to see if I had helicobacter pylori which came back positive, so I was prescribed a course of anti biotics for 14 days .
    The doctor made me aware that he won’t be able to eradicate the hiccups completely, but if he reduced them by 50% (intensity or frequency or both) he’d consider that a successful intervention . The frequency has reduced, but the intensity is still the same. So my plan is once I finish the omeprazole, I’ll book in for another consultation as sometimes it’s take two courses of anti biotics to get rid of the bacteria. Or we could have the option of gastrocopy which the doctor was avoiding at all costs .

    Ah really glad to see youre on a treatment! Must be horrible with them! Hoping you get even more improvement!

    So prolotherapy solutions vary widely depending on where you have them done. Gernerally it contains a base of saline, dextrose and lidocaine, but often doctors create their own formula and can mix in other compounds such as guaicol and other irritants to help speed up the process.

    You can make your own, but be aware it is an irrirant and you are injecting it into connective tissue. essentially though although most wouldnt reccomend it especially qualifies practitioners, it is a simple procedure with relatively low risk

    0.50 ml of a 20% dextrose/0.1% lidocaine, rest saline solution is a good place to start. A Dextrose solution of more than 10% yields greater results as the osmotic concentration allows for more growth factors to be drawn to the area

    the main way bodybuilders benefit in terms of recovery. Is increased muscle protein synthesis – the rate at which micro trauma is repaired in the muscle is greatly enhanced. There are a whole host of other mechanisms but this is the main one

    Best advice is to go visit different gyms and try out all the different pieces of kit. Kubas literally taken the approach of, if hes liked a piece of kit at one gym, next month its at ultraflex. No loyalty to brands, piece and choose whats needed as no one brand has the best of every piece of kit.

    @Jordan Peters – Perhaps now is the time to create some sort of trainedbyjp Coaching academy. A series of assessments and courses that one must progress through, developed by yourself and corinne and also asessed by you as well. – At the end they can become some sort of verified trainedbyjp certified coach. And a list of coaches stated somehwere on the site, so public can verify

    To me, someone that hates days off idicates that training and the gym is the only thing they focus on and dedicate time to and have a passion for in life. Do not make the mistake of having gym as the sole focus in life. Find other ways to expand your life as well. Whether that is another hobby, a side hussle that you can be grafting away at. Something that requires focus and attention, so you are not left wondering when the next gym session is

    yes and no, it is a positive indicator that youve created some cellular damage which is ultimately what we are after. However I dont like using it as a definitive indicator of a good workout. For example If i do my typical leg session, where I rarely get much doms, but im beating the log book and progressing then I know ive stil done a good workout.

    On the other hand if i just did a whole workout of 90 minutes work of leg extensions comprising of 40/50sets – crazy drops sets, static holds ect. Then I can guarantee anyone and everyone will have the worst doms from hell.- Do i think thats an effective workout and yield better results than my typical session, even though I will get far more doms. – No therefore doms cant be a definitive indicator of a good session
