Hello JP, are there any books you’d recommend on being able to understand your blood work better? I am due to receive my blood work results back this week but wanted to know more information especially if anything is skewed and how to fix it.

Been following your prep and its really motivating, congrats to Corinne on her win ridiculous strength, will look to hire you as a coach soon I think to help me improve both knowledge and body composition.

JP, when reading literature and studies, how do you take what you have read and apply it to yourself? Is there a protocol you go through yourself when trying something new both training and nutrition to document whether it works? I read a lot of papers but don’t know how to go about applying what I have read to myself and seeing if it works.

Hello JP, the article was a good read, what is your take on the partials aspect as I’ve seen that John Meadows is a big advocate of using them. Am I under the assumption they are to only be used as finishers in order to “destroy the muscle” as JM puts it. Do you use partials yourself? As and when they may be needed especially in relation to high intensity low volume of which I have been following in relation to your own training again something that I picked up from what I have read in the article.

JP are you able to give a rundown of the top intraworkouts to use for price differences and bang for your buck aka £20-30, £30-40, £40-50 and £50+ I know you were using bodybuilding warehouse Cyclic dextrin and peptopro at one point which is only like £35 but was wondering your thoughts on affordability and still getting the right nutrients in during the workout as I’ve seen Workout food is £50+ and Plazma by Biotest was like $100 and they had ingredients in it that you didn’t agree with.

Any help on this issue would be great as I’d love to improve my recovery at an affordable price.

Hello JP, when you get blood test results back from yourself and especially from clients are their any specific markers you are looking for? I know you talk about yourself for health reasons. But with clients is their anything your looking for specifically in relation to body composition and health e.g. being in the best health state to build muscle and lose fat.

JP what do you do to recover from a session in order to recover quickly for your next training session. I watched your video regarding training frequency and low volume making sure that you recover in between training sessions for the same body part in order to be able to hit it hard the next session but was wondering what do you do to help the process along in trems of recovery?

Brilliant thanks for the reply have got hold of a good ZMA, how much and how often do you take phenibut as I have read it can be quite addictive and dangerous so is there a protocol that you follow?

Where would you recommend getting the phenibut from?

Thanks for the replies guys its greatly appreciated

Thanks for the advice JP read the article which really opened my eyes as to the simplicity of muscle building as I’ve read so much and been confused as to what way is best for me to do and as such hired a coach recently to put reading into action (will see how plan pans out for personal growth). Once I’ve finished this program I feel I will use the DC training method of low volume high frequency in order to progress as I really resonate with this method.

A few questions I have/can think of clearly due to so many clogging up as a result of the excitement to train as a result of the article. How long would sessions generally last for as it is only one working set per body part and would you set it out as push, pull, legs? or upper, lower, off, repeat?

The stretching part Dante refers to as extreme stretching what is this and how can you stretch specific areas such as lower back, biceps, shoulders?
Would you recommend mainly free weight exercises opposed to machines or is it possible to use both with great affect or will free weights result in more muscular gains due to overall recruitment?
Is the tempo as simple as explosive up as possible and controlled down as possible on every rep as long as you can feel it as controlling down could be 3s it could be 10s is there a specific tempo you would recommend or just go with one for a while and when it plateaus change it up?

A lot of questions I know but Dante’s article has really got the brain going and has confirmed even more that I want to try and get in a training session with you sometime this year – one of my 2015 goals.

Love your post JP about the old school bodybuilder having a dig I read that and thought why is he being so ignorant towards science and yourself for advocating health with science not only helping you get into better condition but also being able to live afterwards to pick up the trophy was a strange one from him. Just a quick question on blood JP, where would I go to get bloodwork done e.g to check hormone levels are ok in order to improve body composition. As well as how to read them I guess. (This post makes sense in my head btw hopefully it does to you to.)

JP can you recommend any good MCT sources other than coconut oil as I’m struggling to find any to add to avoid carbs until leading up to training as well as my rest days.
