Day started with the stairmaster, abs and some rehab on my shoulder. Got to say although it’s only been a week I’m actually getting into using the stairs again after not using it for yeeeears.

Push session ticked off today, went to the gym earlier today because my training partner is recovering from an eye operation. Happy with how today’s session went taking on some pointers from the physio with my shoulder that really helped. My hunger is deffo up, I feel like I can eat more and with me being this deep into off season and still feeling like this I’ll deffo take it. Hoping for a food increase this week as I think I’m ready for it

When you had bad knees before, how did you overcome it? If it’s something that’s happened previously revisit what you did to help ease the pain or get it looked at from a physio

What a finals last night at the uk Arnold’s. Although a small line up for open men’s bodybuilding the calibre of athletes were right up there and it was great to see in person and as always watching shows fuel to be back up there competing.

Rest day for me today. Cardio got ticked off along with rehab for shoulder. Felt pretty tired today but to be expected with a long day out yesterday. Definitely an early night on the cards tonight

    Give it 3/5 days

I work of an average per week

Weight fluctuates a lot, so makes no sense to make decisions of a single weighin

Take your weight on average and then if it stalls go up in food.

This would be my approach also

You’re showing all the signs that you need to take some rest. In this time lower your daily steps, stop cardio and increase calories. I’d also advice prioritising sleep so you can actually return after this time feeling rested

Morning leg session in the bag today. My training partner was going in for an op this morning and I had a physio appointment out of the city, so it made sense for me to train earlier today.

My session went ok, I trained at my local gym instead of my usual Friday gym for legs. Defo missed the Cybex squat press today and gym Leco hip press. Of course I still got the session done, but with the different kit I used I felt like I used up more time trying to find my working weight on feeder sets. The job got done though

A big part of training is enjoyment, so train how you like your training to be but be sure to think about controlling the weight you are lifting also.

In person posing client this morning, then it was me vs the stairmaster for cardio lol. Starting to enjoy this as my form of cardio now instead of the recumbent bike I had been using. A lot more challenging but I’m starting to adapt and I’m certain my fitness will improve from this. My appetite is definitely up today, I’ve felt myself clock watching for when my next meal will be which is huge for me this deep into off season. My average bodyweight currently is 128.5kg and I’m pretty happy with where my body composition is at this weight. Hoping for more food when I next check in at the weekend lol but with my weight trending up I doubt it would happen. Eating for my needs and not to hunger, that’s the key for growing and not getting out of shape.

sometimes its things and not the most complicated things which we tend to gravitate to in this day and age

Haha I felt a right sausage mate. Although very relieved it’s not what it seemed.

Been testing all day to be sure and we’re all good. That’s all I bloody needed midway through moving home and all the crap that comes with it.

    Thanks again bud [/quote]
Glad you got this sorted mate. Keep staying hydrated and stress levels low will go a long way to keeping this in a healthy range

In person posing clients today along with client work. I had a physio appointment today that worked on gym based shoulder exercises and also treatment shockwave / ultrasound to help with my shoulder rehab. Working with a really good physio so it’s good to be moving forwards with his help

Another really good leg session today. I feel like my leg sessions have really been taken up a level and each session / week I’m able to reach a new level. This is good for me as legs is the area I still needed more overall size to really balance out my physique.

    Session today was

Lying leg curl x3 – last set single leg
    Leg ext x2
    Gym Leco hip press x2
45 degree leg press single leg x1
    Adductor x2
    Seated calf raise x2

Thanks for all the help guys. I have readjusted my steps to 12.5k per day and taken cardio out on leg days and moved it to rest days. Able to manage fatigue much better with this set up. Back to losing weight again 🙂

Thanks for the update with this. Key point to note here is sometimes that pull back is needed earlier than you think even if training is flying, so make a note of when you did pull back and after how many weeks so you can roughly have an idea when you might need you next de-load or pull back

Decent push session ticked off today at my home gym. Did a solo session today, as I wanted to get my session done earlier. My sleep last night wasn’t great, not sure why so I wanted to make sure I get all my client work, training, and others jobs ticked off early today so I can hopefully get a better sleep today.

Second day with the new cardio set up today, going to be a love hate relationship with the stairs but I’m going to enjoy seeing the benefits. 1 more meal to go and then it’s bed for me.

Hunger is on the rise, so definitely in a good spot in this push up

Well cardio was definitely more challenging today lol I’ve not used a stairmaster in years and I remember why haha, but it’s all good I’m here for it. Stairmaster, abs and shoulder rehab ticked off this morning. Rest of the day is being spent with my mum and my family
