The Ellie goulding album is for a reason, I listened to that whilst laying back stage before I had my ass absolutely handed to me at the nac universe in Germany in 2013, so that album will instantly piss me off, like Pavlovs dog theory, ring the bell dog salivates, play that album to me and I will hit a pb haha

Hey Matt, dc is indeed Dante trudels invention. I tried to hire Dante 4 years ago to be taught it directly, but he had stopped taking on clients, but luckily Dr scott Stevenson was taking on dantes clients, so I had two years with scott , in which I was taught True dc.

So the principle is low volume, high frequency, which you will hear me talk about a lot. I have always trained body parts as often as I could but was never properly in tune with the volume: frequency balance, which I now feel I am extremely experienced with and why I am able to get the results from clients I do.

The basic approach of dc, is to rest pause sets, so you take a weight you fail on in a certain rep range, and go to failure once you have you take 10-12 deep breaths then go again wtb the Same weight, fail , then repeat a further time. You will only perform a couple of rest pause sets per body part in a session, as they are so v demanding vs a straight set. So you can keep the volume low . Due to volume being low, you can re train that body part again v soon. The more often you train a body part the quicker it will grow.

Please google, Dante cycles for pennies, that article by Dante outlines his original ideas on dc, after reading that, come back here with specific questions and il
    Help 🙂

Great advise from Tom. I try to pick my exercises that generally will complement each other

But if generally you have stalled, I look initially at sleep and hydration for that day, they will stall you immediately. Next is diet over the last 3-4 days into session, if it’s been sub par that will stall you. If all is on point and your at the end of a 12 week run, it’s time to rest totally. But if you happen to stall mid blast, then I would simply switch the exercise

Max that’s because we are doing it right buddy and it’s showing in your look. It just takes that trust , which I’m glad you have in me to allow me to drop your drugs and we still make progressions. A lot of my clients freak at how low I advise their drug intake to be, but just ask them to have faith in the fact hard diet and training will trump all 🙂

In an Olympic lifting centre I have been in, they played no music. I asked why, and the coach said ” head in cooler , body on fire.” They like to have their athletes as calm mentally as possible to ensure they are totally in tune with their body to nail lifts, and ensure the feedback they are providing themselves is accurate and not distorted. I do like music however lol, but I like strange things like haim and Ellie goulding and enya when I train :s

I’m glad some people share my opinion on it Jesse. i am hoping it will encourage people to be much more conservative with drugs. The last 12 weeks I have run 250mg of test e/ week, and held pretty much everything just from training as hard as I possibly can. My next 12 weeks again will be under 1000mg total, which will be my main offseason cycle. Some won’t believe thats all I will run this offseason, but the way I see it is that if you can hold everything on 250, when give total of four times the amount you can make huge improvements, but this means you have to really focus on diet and training. That then leaves scope for an increase again as get closer to competing, but I only really think there is a need to go over that dose if your carrying a Gd wack of muscle. I genuinely beleive that dorian built the large majority of his physique on 1750mg pharma grade anabolics, looking at how he trained ( and the fact it was real anabolics) . I just shake my head when I hear the things bostin Lloyd is telling people…. 13,000mg / week total LOL, absolute Crazyness

MAtt, twinlab used to do a product called mct fuel. Failing that I think a company called trec do one. Red Palm oil has some mct in too

Tom, you will have to trial and error that one buddy, if you can handle more cals and gain well and not get fat because of control days, that’s ideal. But if gaining fat still, just run with cals slightly over maintenance. I personally can handle more on training days. I’m on 4500 training and 3400 rest

Hey Matt, your gp may do it. Some get a bit funny, as they will take some kind of moral high ground, this annoys me as some are awesome and just want to ensure your healthy. If your gp is a no go, medichecks is a good site. The wellman test

I used to do this years ago when working back and forth between heavy and light work sets, so the lighter sets felt that much lighter. I also did it in phase of warming up to squat by doing front squats. Same kinda principle. I don’t think it would make masses of diff, I think I did the benching like that when I was 16 and prob read it online somewhere

Floor press is a tricep move ,
Hands facing inwards , lower the weight slowly thinkin about loading the triceps, then explosively press up

Toes elevated creates greater stretch in the hammy and calf

Gd session today, lifts felt decent and body feels ok. 6 plate eccentric deadlifts and 4 plate bench both for 6 reps where highlights today. Corinne is getting V strong again, 100kilo bench today for 6 reps, she will hit 100×10+ fairly soon, which at 62/63 kilos re inforces why she is a world champion bencher. 8 weeks until the gpc push pull meet in Manchester, I’m confident she will bench 117.5kg/120kg which will be a meet pb ( need to check how close that is to the gpc bench world record too, it must be close as the wpu u67.5kilo world record is 120 kilos

I try not to let it slide above that at any stage of the year tbh, we will see how that goes. It’s a big juggle between health and wanting to reach my goals…. I want to truly be huge, but I will not risk my life in doing so, I think it’s doable if you stay ontop of everything.

My last six weeks will see my liver enzymes high but tudca is a phenominal supplement that drops them v fast. my water retention in this phase is low and using things that shouldn’t elevate hematocrit at all, so Bp stays in range which keeps kidney values ok. I won’t let my Bp ever read high, I haven’t ever had a high Bp Reading in my life so that I’m happy with. Lipid profile is normally shot in the final phases of prep, but I will make sure I’m using tocotrienols, Palm oil and citrus bergamont to keep them as good as I can, and diet dense in avacado and walnuts. If not being silly with test means less conversion to estrogen so no need to be using harsh anti aromatising drugs will ensure lipid profile stays somewhat better.

Ppl think what I post about here is silly, I had a dig from an old school bodybuilder the other day on Instagram, but people are dying! That old video of john Romano saying ” show me the bodies” is now truly void

Heavy upper light lower focus today. All heavy sets to failure in the 8-12 rep range

    Pullover
    Pulldown
    Seated row
    Deadlift
    Decline bench press
    Flat fly
    Machine press
    Dip
    Db shoulder press
    Side laterals
    Machine press
    Rear delt raise

Two tri sets of 20-30 reps
Leg press into lying ham into toe press

With sterches will take me 2 hours. The only downside I have to this plan is length in the gym. It is hard to keep up the work rate for two hours. But now as I start my second six week run, I am better at it.
