    Evening all. Just got back from the gym and a very frustrating session, actually frustrating is putting it lightly it was shit from start to finish. Every set was down from the previous rotation. I actually live 1hour 30 from the gym so it gives me chance to collect my thoughts and calm myself down on the journey home. We simply dont have sessions like this and it needs rectifying fast. Its what makes the difference, people who choose to accept it was just a “bad day” or people who make sure it doesnt happen again by finding what’s causing the regression.

    Looking over the last week to 10 days and training 3 on 1 off the amount of volume accumulated over the week is too high from me to recover from and it’s now effecting my training. From today I’ll take out all forced reps and reduce volume over each session and micromanage from there until food goes up and my recovery capabilities are better.

    Fasting can be beneficial for digestion in the off season for sure. If you are still growing and progressing there is no issue there. If your progress stalls and your meals are already large it would be an idea to get some extra calories in the window you usuall use for fasting to spread food out over a large portion of the day.

    Thank you bro. Hopefully we will be in a position to give it a good shot in the next 8-12 months. After this next push up phase me and Kuba will pick which shows we are targeting and keep working like a robot towards them.

    Following the bigman weekend feedback of being thicker up top, what do you feel are your current physique strengths (body parts and poses) and where do you feel you need improvement/ main area(s) of focus going into this next phase?

    Hey Joe. Strong body parts for me are most definitely legs buddy. I’m decent from behind too, anything posterior chain I’ve always been strong at and had a good connection but my arms and chest lack size and density. These areas are most definitely improving from just focusing on connecting with the muscle and then getting strong whilst keeping that connection. I feel now we have got a better connection once we push food in a couple of weeks I should see some good progress.

    if you feel like training other body parts is taking away from recovery of other areas then possibly your volume is already too high? lagging bodylarts are usually from lack of connection or execution and usually once people grow their lagging parts are still lagging. i would really concentrate on getting the best connection with your weaker areas and making them a priority.

    like Ryan says you will get more out of a deep tissue massage. chiros are good but in general I would always choose a massage.

    woke up this morning at 109.6kg the aggressive drop of food for this mini cut is doing the job but its left me pretty flat. strength is still improving but I feel like I could push up already as condition isn’t bad at all. I’ll chat to kuba and over the next week or so I think we will crack on with the push up.

    today was pull over at ultraflex with kuba and the giant. A very solid session for us all and everything moving very well for me so I’ve come away very happy and already buzzing for push tomorrow.

    chest supported pulldown x2
    prime pin loaded row (upper focus) x 2

    What was your diet at peak cals (115kg before you started the mini cut)?
    Would be interested to see what it takes to push up to that!

    hi mate. not sure exactly what calories I was on however it was the same food as I’m on now but across a training day I lost 4 bagels, 1 ricekrispy square bar, and 20g jam altogether. so say 220g carb/1000kcal down. which is a big drop for me. my food needs to be high with little activity for me to gain weight[/quote]
