Any meal with carbs in will be good to go. baby rice, rice flakes, rice, potatoes. As long as you have enough carbs to supplement the slin. Ground rice with isolate and fruit is always my choice pre.

4 weeks away from a show or shoot etc I would concentrate on getting your body fat as low as possible. Once you are very lean and only very lean will any manipulation tactics work or just get fat free and you will have nowhere to hild water in the first place ????

solid pull session went down tonight. This particular session has no lower loading as we only lower load every other session ATM to keep on top of recovery. Strength already picking up after lowering the volume a tad over the sessions.

Rest day today. The day was spent at the PCA British finals with some of the team. Oscar and Tim were both competing so I was buzzing to see them on stage killing it and its left me desperate to train tomorrow already. weight was down to 109.2kg this morning with 2 weeks left on the cut. condition is coming along nicely now and I’m looking forward to the rebound effect once we start pushing again.

The guns are good and I find they do relieve tension and aid in recovery. I still have sports massage on top as the guns cant get as deep as a therapist would but using the gun may allow you to get away with less frequent trips to the therapist so there could be financial benefits in the long run.

As Clare says 2 or 3. I’ve always used 2 as this gives me a better indication of my progress, hitting the same sessions more frequently.

I’ve always gone for a rice based and ricekrispys in particular they have less fat than a lot of other cereals which is ideal for post wo.

That little amount shouldn’t make a difference I wouldnt imagine. I guess it all depends on your goals but the fact you are already tracking the calories from your drinks I’m guessing you have a good handle on things and if it helps you relax and socialize once a week it’s not a bad thing.

Legs went down tonight at ultraflex with kuba. It was important that todays session was a good one and man it was just that. We felt like we had so much venom in tonight’s session. Harnessing the frustration from yesterday and taking it out on myself in the gym has always worked well, pretty much calling myself a pussy on every rep in my head has always got that extra rep or 2 out of me. When training I feel like people display 2 types of aggression external and internal. External for example would be someone like jordan, you can clearly see the intensity in his eyes and almost feel it, internal is someone like myself I make no noise, almost look like I’m not trying and half asleep but internally the aggression is so fucked up and allows me to shift some decent weight, I’ve tried external aggression in the past and I simply loose control of my sets and get over hyped.

personally in a 6-8 week mini cut I wouldn’t have a meal off. The point of a mini cut is to tidy things up and the quicker you do that the better. if having a meal off during the cut will help you mentally and see you adhere to the rest of the plan than it would be a bad thing just dont go mad with the food.

if the job is one you cant see yourself sticking to for a long time it would make sense to try and find other employment. One that suits your lifestyle and are happy in. It’s a big decision for anyone to make but if training is a big part of your life it’s a no brainer. Obviously just make sure you are financially stable or already have secured other employment before you move on. Whatever you do good luck mate
