    I agree with clare here. Training twice a day will create huge recovery demands, unless you are in the genetic elite you wouldn’t be able to recover properly.

    hey jimmy! do you have any problems with blood glucose in the night when you sleep with the lantus? when do you have your last carb meal before bed? best regards

    Hi kamo. No problems at all with blood glucose. I have my lantus shot around 630am although lantus is advertised as a 24hr insulin it’s not effective in that way for that long so by the time I go to bed it will be petty much inactive. my last carb meal will be around 8-9pm so I’m well covered.

    Rest day today and just about to eat M6 which is 2 x steak burgers, 2 x bagels and 300g of oven chips. This should set me up nicely for legs tomorrow. Nice steady day today and catching up on some sleep between meals. Feeling really good at the minute and things are in a good place to keep progressing on this set up so we will rinse every last drop out of it.

    Hey Jimmy, hope all is well mate! looking crazy! Just a question for ya, for your workouts do you do any pre activation movements?

    Hey mate thanks. Yeah before every session I will warm up just by pumping a few light sets out and also with a band, push or pull sessions this will be the whole of the upper body. Before legs it’s a 5 min walk on the treadmill and again some light extensions to try and warm the knees up. Nothing set in stone every session just until I feel like I’m ready to go and I feel things are firing.

    The path of the bar going away from you will be best. Going over your head you would struggle to keep tension on the targeted muscle for a chest movement or tricep press etc

    Hey. you are absolutely in the right section to ask this question. we will need a few more variables to help you out properly though. What’s your job? is it manual? what is your current weight? do you know your current bf% roughly? what is your body type? do you loose weight easily, gain fat easily etc.

    solid pull session tonight. It was deadlifts but we had a deload on them. I think this was a very good move as they just didn’t feel as good as usual and we have been pushing them hard recently. I felt good after managing to get plenty of sleep in today. Full days rest tomorrow before we go again..2 more weeks left on this push before the scheduled 4-5 days off.

    In my opinion 20% body fat is too high to start pushing up yet. get your bf down to 12-15% and really dig in. You will get a much better and more sustainable response from your body this way.

    I would always start with adding a small amount of carbs at a time 20-50g dependant on your metabolism/current condition etc if adding small increments of carbs doesnt seem to get things moving again then revert to adding some fats too as they are more calories dense and after all its calories that will help you grow.

    evening all. push session over at mjs gym today with kuba and joe. The session went better than expected. As somebody who lives for bodybuilding and routine everyday, when I’m taken away from that it makes things difficult and it can be a stressful time for me, it literally looked I was moving house for one night away with meals, supps, changes of clothes, training day food, supplements,, gallons of water everything apart from the kitchen sink basically. A long drive coupled with a bad night sleep as the hotel was very warm and the aircon wouldn’t stop squeaking saw me wake up flat and feeling like I had been out all night.. So that’s the excuses over with haha. I still maintained a pump and wasn’t too flat which I was expecting, strength was decent also.

    I limit caffeine purely to my pre workout. rest days and any other time I have 0 this keeps me somewhat responsive to the pre. You can very quickly build up a caffeine tolerance. like Haider says if you are drinking for taste, out of habit etc then switch to decaf

    I come straight off and never taper down. However my t3 dose is always low. If your T3 dose is high it might be a good idea to taper but I know lots of people that just come straight off

    there is no harm in keeping that amount in for a while. it will help with controlling the rebound too. but there is no need to taper down from 25mcg
