Back to it today and we were in for a chest focused push session. my sleep wasn’t great last night and I just couldn’t settle so after a long day and minimal sleep I was feeling it this morning. The session went well and numbers in the book were beat, i just seem to fail a little sooner than usual but I feel this was down to the sleep tbh, it wont be happening again. I will get some check in pictures and upload them so you can see where I’m at in terms of condition and progress.

Merry Christmas all!!! Nothing to report today. Spent time with the family this morning and a typical chilled Christmas day from there. I had 0 carbs for my first 4 meals and just pro/fat my next meal I will have off, I’m fancying chicken fajitas so I will have them, then my usual burger and chips to finish. looking forward to the next couple of day of training as I think some pbs are going to get smashed. let’s finish 2019 like we mean to go on…

Possibly slower eccentrics and a slight hold at the top really concentrating on putting full tension through the quad using 0 momentum the exercise. if it’s your last exercise in the session they will be gassed by this point so doing them in this way I find way more effective. If not then pinning extra weight to the stack is fine in my opinion as long as like joe says you dont go silly.

Leg day today and I had an earlier one in york ultraflex as tonight I have the job of Santa and building bikes, scooters, dolls houses and god knows what else so I wanted to be done in good time so I can get relaxed as early as possible and finish my meals in good time. the session was a good one, I felt strong and got a very good connection. It was the first time in over a week I could go in on legs so it felt great to move some weight.

leg press x 2
single leg press x 1
leg ext x 1 rp

adductor x 1
seated calves x 3no Smith squats today as the smith machine was angled and just didnt feel right so 2 sets of leg press instead of 1 did the job for today.
Christmas day tomorrow and pretty much business as usual for me. I will have 1 meal off on the night but apart from that personally I like to stick to plan, it doesnt harm anyone else and it keeps me happy. so tomorrow if you want to stay on plan that’s fine, if you want the odd treat that’s fine too and if you want to go IN all day then great just do what makes you happy because 1 day will not make a difference. If an exercise hurts then leave it alone. try and programme your sessions around you, there is no wrong and right way to do this just whatever feels comfortable then progress lifts steadily from there. Physio and like the guys say foam rolling and light activation work prior to the session.

I used It a few years ago. I didnt see much from it to be honest. I added it into the peptides I was trialling at the time. I remember taking notes that my sleep seemed to improve but I couldn’t put is solely down to that.

Good evening all. So tonight was the first session back after the 3 complete rest days and mannn it felt good to be back in the gym, it just makes me realise how much I love this shit. session tonight with kuba as always and AJ Morris jumped in, it’s very inspiring to see such a young person know exactly what they want and work their arse off for it. I was impressed with his execution and strength, a very strong guy and kept up with us rep for rep. For me I felt good, pretty strong and beat all current numbers but with a lot better execution so happy all round.

Small adjustments can make an exercise completely different so there is no harm in using the same peice of equipment in both sessions. As the guys suggested different rep ranges or banding a machine will provide a different stimulus or loading point which is what we want.

Hey paul. you can most definitely make good progress in 2020 with a limited budget. You will have to be smart with your shopping but it can be done. Supplements are exactly that, to supplement your diet they are not essential. The minimum we are looking for is to hit your total daily food requirements, have a gym membership and be able to sleep. Sleep costs nothing so that leaves with a budget gym membership and now it’s a case of formulating a diet towards your goal. Carbs are mostly very cheap and usually if you shop around you can get good deals on meat, local butchers will usually let you bulk buy for cheaper. freeze your meats so they last longer and there is no waste. There are lots of things you can do. Drop me a message if you need any ideas for budget meals and so on.

3rd rest day complete and again very little activity today. I woke up lighter, flatter and even had a couple of comments asking if I was dieting again which is not what you want to hear in your off season Haha. Fully refreshed and ready to hit the weeks hard now. we will string perfect weeks and days together again now until prep. motivation is sky high so let’s get it

rest day 2/3 today. nothing out if the usual really. pretty flat this morning and weight down so a little extra food tonight. I feel fresh and cant wait to get back at it for this next push
