I would look to lower the volume from the sessions to 1-2 max and drop the ‘light squeeze’ go heavy on everything you can load safely without compromising form. Of course be v strict with isolation work – cables etc but this doesn’t mean go light it just means connect with the exercise and stay strict – it’s not about setting all time bests. Hope this helps.

I’d go for a process of elimination- try and drop the eggs I know a lot of people have issues with them and see if that helps.

Definitely try it bro. Baby rice can get expensive but it’s literally so smooth it’s unreal. Obviously you can imagine it’s made for babies so it’s super fine and easily digested without an after taste and cream of rice is a close second to it I get mine from gonutrition online and I know Cardiff sports nutrition do it too

I know a lot of people suffer with ground rice as its texture can be difficult to get right and has a bit of an after Taste. Have you tried actual cream of rice or baby rice as an alternative to see how that sits on the stomach ?

Hey guys so 12 days until surgery meant back to plan with training and trying to keep my numbers up and enjoy it as much as I can. I probably should have done pull today but I wanted to get my routine back and hit push today , pull tomorrow and the rest Saturday that’s the plan although I may have to train Saturday and rest Sunday due to the other halves birthday but we’ll see. Managed to match all my book and beat a few exercises with an extra rep so I’m happy with that.

    Hammer strength low incline lying machine press – 4.5 plates a side – 6 (1 rep up), 3 plates – 10
    High incline hammer – 4 plates a side – 5, 3 plates – 10
    High incline db shoulder press – 50kg – 5, 40.9kg (90lbs) – 10
Weighted dips – stupidly tried 75kg for the first time and got 3, not sure why I got so brave lol. – 50kg – 8
    Cable crossover – 2×12 1×15
Lying cuff crucifix lateral – 3×12
Hammer strength seated lateral raise – 3×15
Db front raise – 1×8 – front delt felt a niggle so stopped after a set
    Tricep rope pushdown – 3×12
Abs – hanging leg raise 15 super set decline sit up 10 x3
Seated leg press calf raise – 3×12

Hey bud this is very fitting. I have an inguinal hernia I am in for surgery in 12 days. My surgery isn’t key hole though as key hole will rupture again due to the nature of our training so its full surgery. Keep up to date with my log and I’ll keep everyone up to date with how it goes recovery wise.

I still train with mine and it’s very big to be fair. Causes me discomfort and some pain but not enough to stop training. One thing you have to wary of is that the training and exerting of force will make it worse so I’d recommend getting it fixed so you can progress with complications

You actually couldn’t write it ! Sat down for surgery – rubbish night sleep, dreading being out the gym for however long etc – I’m in my gown, paper pants and hospital socks only to be told they had to cancel my surgery as the surgeon was called into an emergency. So I have a new appointment which is March 12th. Hoping it goes without any complications and I can put this behind me as right now I’m questioning if I’ll even be able to compete this year. We were originally shooting for December so another 2 weeks will put it back further I imagine depending on my recovery. I’ve got some gh and some bpc 157 ordered to speed things up so fingers crossed I am back ready to make improvements before long. Will wait for jordan’s opinion on it and go from there. Rest day today anyway and try and resume normality with training etc tomorrow

I’m with Rich here. I use sbds the stretch reflex on a sleeve can only be used if you bounce out the bottom of the rep relying on the stretch of the sleeves. If you have a controlled eccentric and a slight pause in the hole they only provide support and stability. My knees have been giving me absolute agony recently and I couldn’t train legs without my sleeves. I need to address why as last year I had 0 issues. I think it’s excessive use of the hack, tight it bands and a hip tilt. All issues that maybe you could look into and not have to find a solution as I am and rather prevent them from happening.

Have you tried micro loading ? 0.5kg plates ? I have had the same issue with high incline smith. I’m maxed out just hitting 5 reps dropped it for a few weeks and it’s just not going anywhere so I’ve decided to drop it out and replace it for good. If it’s an exercise you enjoy and don’t want to drop completely I’d suggest what Clare says.

Hey guys so as I said yesterday today was my last training session before tomorrow’s surgery and was also the team training shoot with 2bros and the trainedbyjpnutrition range. So was a super cool day being with everyone. So it ended up being me and joe training legs, Matt and kuba and then Tim was training them too.

Seated prime Hamstring curl 2×8 1×12
Watson hack – hardest hack and harshest on the knees hack I’ve ever been on. Worse than Cybex – 4 plates – 4, 3 plates 13
Seated leg press all loaded on the bottom of the plate with extenders – first set 4 a side did 10, then loaded second – 5 plates a side – 6 –
    Banded glute bridge – 2×15
Bulgarian split squat with heel elevated – 1×12
    Leg extension 1×15
    Adductor rest pause – 12-6-3
    Toe press – 3×12
