    Firstly I think you could be leaner mate. Without meaning to burst your bubble. A carb up isn’t going to help you much if at all until you are shredded.

    Sounds like a good start mate tbh. If you can I’d hit cardio away from workout but if that’s the best time that suits u as long as it’s done is the main thing

    Rest day today guys and really really trying to sort my back out. In between clients just been lying with my feet up to make sure my back is flat. Started my core work to improve my hip tilt and like I said I’m determined to improve this. So I’ll keep hitting these drills morning and night. Not much else to report. Hit a posing session with one of Jamie’s clients who won his class in Portugal. Cracking physique. Really big too which is nice to see. It’s on my story if you want to see. Also the newest drops form TrainedByJP clothing landed today. Sleeveless hoody’s!! They are insane. That also on my story. Will be training in it tomorrow too! So keep an eye out for that.

    I echo Clare here. When cardio is in its done regardless of the muscle group I’m training but I try to keep it away from sessions unless I’m really strapped then I will do some post workout

    That’s absolutely fine mate. Don’t worry. I get around 120g of protein from whey isolate on training days and 40g on rest days.

    Hey guys. So yesterday I managed to train legs… I was careful with exercise selection and had a very good session. That being said. My back is not feeling great. Very twingey and spasms close to happening almost all the time. I saw a therapist yesterday and he released my glutes and periformis. I felt a lot better last night. Today it feels like it’s tightened up again. Not as bad but still not great. I need to see if it improves today as it’s a rest day. Stay on top of stretches and start doing some pelvic core work. We’re thinking that my anterior hip tilt could be the root cause of all of this. So deep pelvic core work to try and correct it is very important. Means working on it morning and night and being very religious with it. I’m really hoping it fixes soon as this is not a nice feeling at all. Today is a rest day and I will be resting and really trying to improve this situation. I may need to see a chiropractor too see if my si joint is out as that’s causing me issues with the spasm coming from there.

    I’ve been suffering last couple of days. Had a treatment and been rehabbing myself. Cricket ball in the area. Foam rolling and plenty of stretching. Mines stemming from my right glute into my lower back causing swirling around the si joint so it’s really twingey and causing spasms. I feel movement helps. Too much sitting and lying down causes it to stiffen a lot.

    Very interesting topic. For me I’m not set to one type of look or shape. I look at it like there’s the old style of classic shape which is amazing and Ryan’s shape and overall look. Then there’s the new style which still has the elements of the old style but with the harder more conditioned look. I love both.

    I was speaking to jordan about this myself last night. It’s definitely an interesting subject and something that can be used in phases in off season and the leaving reps in the tank but doing the same amount of work pre contest makes sense also.

    Rest day today guys. And today I woke up with some serious glute/lower back pain on my right side. Spasmy and twingey. Not been very mobile and it’s hard to get comfortable lying down or sitting up. I’ve been for an hour and a half treatment. Foam rolled. Stretched. Everything to try and relieve the pain and the spasms as I am itching to train legs tomorrow. Will take some anti inflammatories too. Medication is always the last choice for me when I’m ill or in pain. Very rarely do I take anything. But for this I’m willing to. Can’t have time off training now. Hopefully it will be good tomorrow. Will keep you all updated tomorrow anyway. Hope everyone has had a great weekend
