    Full fat Greek (not Greek style) Aldi or Asdas own brand with blueberries and mixed nuts usually. mid morning and pre bed.
    I sometimes add broken up scotch pancakes and a drop of single cream to bump the cals.

    Imagine insulin is a train, a freight train to be exact, it carries the nutrients to where they need to get to
    .
    When your just about to train, during training and after training you want that train arriving as quickly as possible loaded up with all the nutrients to help repair and grow
    .
    To the actual question, do you want an insulin spike pre wo, all depends on the nutrients available at the time
    .
    If you’ve been pro/fat up until that point of the day then yeah you probably do want more rapid response to get carbs in your system
    .
    If you’ve already had a carb meal a couple of hours pre training then the nutrients required are already at your disposal so there’s no real need
    .
    Again the level of need, the level of spike and so on will be very individual, how hard your training, how much glycogen you’ll use up during training and how quickly as JSaild has mentioned that spike will come crashing down as it may leave you going hypo during the workout but this is where intra comes into its own
    .
    All of the above applies whether your talking about natural insulin spikes or utilising exogenous insulin, you can of course get much deeper into these conversations but that’s the most basic premise

    Ive understood the value of insulin spiking for a while, mainly learned off here.
    But the one thing im still not sure about is when to include my GDA intake (im a natty).
    Ive asked on here about including it with my post training meal of high GI carbs and the one guy that answered said to take it, where as I was under the assumption you wouldnt want to stunt the insulin affect post training.
    I asked a competative natty guy I follow and he said not to, as your at you most insulin sensitive post training???

    A ‘sticky’ is where one of the admin pin a post at the start of the index page so its there all the time at the head of the page and doesnt gradually go down the list of topics as others are posted.
    Go back the the health sub forum and Deans pinned post is there.

    I keep getting conflicting advise on when to take the following, as in with food, without, in the same dose….
    Curcumin.
    Boswellia.
    Vit D3
    Zinc.
    Magnesium.
    Ive been led to beleive….
    VitD and Mag together and with food.
    Zinc away from food.
    Curcumin says with food, but im sure JP says on an empty stomach.
    Boswellia with food.

    Started using RPG just over a week ago.
    Havent noticed anything untoward up to now.{im a natty!)
    Started on a lower dose but im now on the 4 capsules twice a day.

    id of thought post workout use wouldnt of been benificial, as that would stunt the desired effect of the post high GI carbs like cereal, bagels and jam?
