Hey guys so today I hit a nice push session, strength continues to increase and I feel great 🙂

    Machine flat chest press 1 set 8-10 1 set 12-15 + 1 rp
    Shoulder press machine 1 set 6-8 1 set 12-15
    Weighted dips 2 sets 8-10

    How tall are you?

I know others above 6ft have mentioned leg press and hack which I also find very good. Anything with a back support to brace against for heavy compounds then I absolutely love leg extensions for sheer pump and fatigue.

Being taller is not a disadvantage, just understand how your body works and what positions you need to be in to execute the exercise.

For me on leg press I need feet higher, not lower. Essentially so your knee is in line with your toes at full range.

That’s awesome man! Really like your log and as a tall guy myself (think we’re the same height, weight is another story…) you’re probably my favorite athlete on the site. Was following your journey even before you joined the team, keep the progress going, it’s motivating as hell!

One question: how do you get on with squats? I find myself failing more due to back fatigue etc rather than my quads giving out.

Hey thanks man appreciate the support ????????
I can’t do squats anymore due to lower back injury and pain infact.

Leg press with a pause and possibly a band and hack squats for me. Something with a back support to brace against ????????

I can’t train 3 days in a row if I’m all out! Even if recovery is optimised in every single way! Especially if your adopting progressive overload and beating a log book each session.

As above buddy if you feel like this I would question your training programming based on volume and intensity!

If your following our logs with the workouts we post and putting EVERYTHING you have into these sessions you WILL need to rest undoubtedly.

So today could have been one of those days!!
As previously mentioned I put my soul into Fridays pull workout which I know is going to make great viewing for you guys and should be up Monday ????
I felt broken all day yesterday but stuck to the food plan to the gram, plenty of fluids on board and made the decision to go and train with Kuba today when the easiest thing to do and date I say the majority would have skipped out on training legs at all, trained by themselves or generally had a shitty workout!
The beauty of your environment and the people you choose to share it with is that those two things of managed correctly don’t allow for poor performance!
We truly pushed each other to the last ounce of energy we had in each set and tore the log book to bits yet again.
This session I would have thought impossible yesterday ????
As I keep saying, the mind is so powerful and learning to control it and manipulate your thought process is key to your continued progression ????

Love the updates and every time you get a video dude.

I think you had mentioned that your appetite is ravenous at 6k, wow. And you’re in a gain phase right?

Yes that’s correct buddy, the key has been sticking EXACTLY to the meal plan like you would in prep, no extra or snacks and we’ve increased food very slowly!
In the past I have rushed calories increases far too quickly and bombed appetite in weeks!!

We always learning man, that’s the beauty of this sport ????

Absolutely loved the session yesterday dude, the intensity you put into those sets was unreal and I learnt a lot! Very jealous of your rest day today I feel absolutely battered!

Mate we went in hard man! Left everything in the gym that day and that’s the hardest thing to do session after session. The environment and people your with are two things that can really help progress in each and every session ????

So yesterday I had the pleasure of filming at my gym in Ilkeston with Rebecca Andrews, training a pull session with fellow athlete Tim Aspinall and a Viking by the name of Chris Swann.

It was a great session and I feel absolutely battered today, i’ve actually never felt so beat up from another session that wasn’t legs EVER!!

So rest day for me today as planned anyway, most probably consisting of A LOT of lying down, a bath and some client work all in the hope i’ll be feeling better for legs tomorrow!

Here was the workout – LOG BOOK SMASHED!!!!

    CHEST SUPPORT ROW
    1X8-12
1X12-15 1RP WITH ISO AT SHORTENED RANGE

    SNATCH RDL
1X6-8 NEW PB 180X8 🙂 WE BUILDING THEM SLOWLY
    1X10-15

HAMMER STRENGTH PULL OVER PULL DOWN
    1X8-10
    1X12-15 1RP PLUS ISO

    SINGLE ARM MACHINE ROW
1 SET AIM FOR 10-12 WITH DOUBLE RP

SEATED CABLE ROW FACE PULL FOR REAR DELT
    2 SETS 12-15

    BICEP PREACHER MACHINE
1 SET AIM FOR 10 DOUBLE RP

    LYING BICEP CABLE CURL

    JOB DONE 🙂

Was a great workout guys, loving training right now and I hope you’re enjoying the whole team smashing their goals and keeping you all updated.

Good luck to Mark and Clare competing today they both look sooooo good!!

Have a great weekend guys x GIANT KISS x
