I would also drop the load a touch and try to keep your abs braced to help take away the pump you are feeling in your back
Cheers Marc, I will focus more on engaging my core and see how it goes with a lighter load too

Hi mate,
My personal view is that if you execute your reps like this and keep the load creeping up week on week you’re going to do just fine.
That said, in an ideal world, I’d like to see you slow the eccentric down a touch.
Also, and probably a consequence of you sensibly transitioning back to “full” training, you’ve got a few reps left in that set if you are working to 0 RiR.

Will put a little more focus in slowing down the eccentric. And yes, as you said, due to transitioning back of why I didn’t go balls to the wall just yet lol

I would take it with you but make sure everything is stored in something and put in your checked luggage, like your toiletry bag etc
obviously there is always that risk of getting your bag searched but if its ten days and just your test it should be okay, I always travel with my bits and bobs

I’d say drop about 100-200 below maintenance for a few weeks and then you should be ready to go on the offensive – not in a terrible shape currently, you’ll need to ensure you’re increasing in small increments to limit fat gain
