agree with @Hilly
go steady and go into a deficit for as long as your PERFORMANCE holds
as soon as you start dropping lots of strength you will be risking the of muscle, so creep back up with food againthen peak, and do another deficit phase BUT start it LEANER than this one…over time you can chip to new levels of condition 🙂

morning all
1 week and 6 days out
im 50/50 whether the show will actually be on, given the recent news – im ok with that tbh….im so so happy with this prep and I know I really do look the best I can so to present it will be great and of course what I want to do…that’s what I love – to prep and compete and hope to climb the ranks… but if life dictates at this time I cant…then so be it, we are all in the same boat and life needs to be put into perspective…I have achieved a better look to last year at this point, and I can and will improve and present it when its time – I would hope that comps will be definitely back up and running at the end of the year, so I would target October/November to compete again, giving me a good 30 weeks….from Portugal (21st july 2019) to now I have had 8 months – so I know I can step forward again in another 7.
regardless, carrying on now with the thought that the show will still happen
yesterday woke at 152.6lbs
so last night pre bed Jordan added 150g of carbs – the rest of the day was normal rest day diet and on instruction to not do very much
(not hard at the mo with the work load – seem to have landed myself a lot more jobs/roles haha)today is my delts&arm day and I have 725g of carbs in total going in….seems odd on this day as the session is not taxing like a leg day BUT leg day is tomorrow, so Jordan wants me to be fully loaded and ready for a big session ALSO he doesnt want to wait on the look…yesterday he didn’t like it at all…with me we have learnt that if we wait on the flatness, it doesn’t often return! plus we have the luxury of being ready so whats the point in running my flat and risking muscle loss?
today I woke at 153.8lbs – up 1.2lbs
meal 1 – 40p, 12f, 100c
pre gym – 40p, 100c,
intra – 40p, 75c
pwo – 40p, 200c
meal – 40p, 150c
pre bed – 40p, 10f, 100call foods are the same as usual, just more, only addition that’s not in my normal day is a little bit of honey to meal 1

only 1 set of trap bar pulls and no single leg press. so the session is much less volume now
defo find it very hard to do less…BUT I know its logical and necessary so I stick to the plan.

I would rest on the Thursday/change over day.. daily calories/macros spread into 5 meals as per the times below
12noon – meal 1
2.30pm – meal 2
5pm – meal 3 –
7.30pm – meal 4 –
10pm – pre bed –on the 24hours day I would space 4 hours apart
as long as each ‘day’ ie wake to bed – regardless of time, I would get my daily intake in – be in less or more meals to fit the time
hope that makes sense?

pre bed – 40p, 12fgood session BUT the trap bar pulls from Friday impacted my hack strength as they are ssooo ‘quaddy’….no issue really, but I don’t like being down on numbers…regardless of all the factors!
