in which case I would keep diet the same, drop the cardio, get back into the gym and assess the change 🙂

if it was me I would remain at the current intake, run a week back in the gym and then alter as needed, as how will you know what is needed?
2700 kcals THEN is not the same as NOW…your physiology would have altered.

    have you altered other variables?

    OFF SEASON – DAY 58

currently finishing off pwo meal after a pull session – reduced volume – back to the norm on Thursday with legs

    really good session
    eccentric deads today – 170kg x 12 – didn’t feel as light to un-rack as I wanted…the 165kg deficient defo felt lighter!
but as I mentioned before that I think im better on the def, so we are just going to stick with that variation in order to build a more automatic movement pattern. im not a nature puller
I don’t particularly recommend only 1 variation most of the time BUT for me personally…this is the best option

everything was up, weight and reps

    OFF SEASON – DAY 57
    (my favourite number)

reduced volume push today – went very well

high inc machine – 80kg each side x 5 dead stopped….max ever NOT dead stopped is 86kg each side x 5….so super pleased with that

shoulder press machine – set the seat 1 notch higher to make it harder – 80kg each side x 6 and a half, again super pleased with that…I did actually do a second set on this ONLY because Jordan was taking ages….funny story…he got all revved up for his set, you know how it is!….but he rubbed kwan loong allll over his left eye…I saw it happening but I cant speak in that moment as he would literally be so so cross at the disruption….so I had to watch the error unfold before me, rubbing it deeper and deeper into that poor old socket….i then watched him stride over to the smith, where I was dutifully awaiting (as you all know!)…he starts squinting, eye going all red and watering…I was thinking, is he guna be able to ‘USE IT’ or is that guna stop this happening? I knew it was a 9 repper so no way could he sustain that with only 1 eye haha…..anyway he had to abort….I got him a wet tissue to wash it off…..that literally used about 20mins of time, so I did a second set

    dip machine
    lying cable fly
    tri pushdown
    side machine
    face out cuff sides
    abs

    and that’s a wrap

    OFF SEASON – DAY 56

rest day – feeling decent – 2 more reduced volume sessions coming up

marko – how would you dead stop a leg extension or ham curl? etc – there is not bottoming out of those so to speak, so I just go full range and control the movement

you could do a dead stop and a not dead stop rotation on the hack for example…I have done this before – as long as you can keep all rotations consistent and accountable then I any exercise is applicable.

lee – thank you…I don’t doubt my ability to work hard, that’s one thing I am confident in…the result to which it translates and the method with which im working is always the grey area for my confidence!

    kate – haha thank you

paula – good point…although sometimes I don’t think I even listen to monologue? haha

    DAY 55 OFF SEASON

ok so thursday – pull session was excellent …def ecc deadlifts – 165kg x 13 …first session this was 150kg x 14…everything felt very good and strong
Friday – rest day….usual stuff, got a really nice early night which was needed.
today – legs, but im doing baseline volume….we want to ensure im not chronically over reaching – after a few sessions of this I should feel fantastic and everything will start to rocket….I hope

works been mad…check ins were all really good – nice and positive from everyone this week which I love…really makes me happy – cant honestly say im very lucky to have a really nice group of people I work with

customer services for clothing and nutrition, I do all of this on my own! …and sometimes people a pretty mean/rude…lots of delays with royal mail at the mo, so of course that means some unhappy customers…which then means more unhappy customers to try and please! which is hard when I cant resolve issues….most of the time people are really understanding but the odd few are just whaaaaaaaa! haha

    DAY 52 – OFF SEASON

    PUSH
    session… (d.rp = double rest pause)

deadstop bb press in rack – 2
deadstop high inc smith – 2
    narrow smith – 1 set, 1 d.rp
    seated fly cabl – 1 set, 1 d.rp
    db skull – 1 set, 1 d.rp
    face in cuff – 1
    side machine – 1
    face in cuff – 1
    side machine – d.rp
    abs

going to move the smith to exercise 1 to get the most out of this….we filmed, and we discussed this decision on the video in detail
felt strong – but not as I would like…making me feel a little anxious

    thoughts / worries
what if I have peaked this year and didn’t get to show it?
    if I don’t progress – ive failed
    Jordan is not impressed
my body comp is worst for no performance increase
    whats the issue?
    what am I doing wrong?

May 13, 2020 at 9:50 am in reply to: Refeed Day Tomorrow – Need Help!

    hey ryan

    at 10 weeks out…
I would personally increase my intra workout carbs and increase my pwo meal FOR EVERY TRAINING SESSION

you are very lean for the time frame and the intra and pwo seem very low to me

I would rather have more food every training day – which would still see a deficit – then have higher refeed days
this way sessions will be better, recovery will be more optimal – which will only be a benefit to the stage look

    I hope that makes sense?
