HOWEVER….Jordan doesn’t have different diets for different training sessions – just gym or rest day 🙂
i do – literally just to be in sync with energy demand
the disparity in output between my push session and my leg session is vast as i am considerably stronger on legs
with Jordan – he is equally strong in all sessions – hence no need to alterso its underpinned by energy balance

the body is very efficient and does its best to find equilibrium

if its an efficient movement for you and you are primarily using it for increased strength and density – then i would do as you are….re setting each rep, explosive power.
i would uses ranges of 5-7 and then 8-12 – load and then back off – 2 sets
over 12 on the deadlift i find can become more about CV capacity
i would say what youre doing is great – as long as its working and youre getting stronger? 🙂

Jordan is mashed coz he is so strong on all movements – plus he is very short and very heavy! so the level of stress that his body is under in terms of energy and recovery demand is just incomparable to pretty much any human i know lol
also he is in a deficit for condition…which further creates fatigue.

food groups can cause issues if there are intolerances which can then affect water retention
with the rice…is this plain rice, that you boil yourself or is it packet, pre made rice?
does the water retention correlate to your water intake? or the amount of sodium you put on your meals?

DAY 2
STARTING A NEW COUNT …..as yesterday was the first day of the diet adjustment so i guess we are into the prep run now!
no point to count days out ive decided, as the comp date might change or i might be ready early/late….so lets just go with a count up in days – easytoday was de-volume legs – still very strong – PBs all round
feel a lot less used right now too!diet has been amended – nothing major….as per below – no change to set up or food choices at all.

things are going well – body is serving me well
i wish my back was protected with SOME erectors let alone enough to never see damage haha …..sadly im still working on these!
my back will still be a weakness in comparison to the others….BUT it will be better and not so obviousthank you for your kindness
as you mention, i don’t want to educate anyone who is shallow enough/thinks its acceptable, to be so openly judgemental or rude really…seems to me they are beyond ‘educating’…when an idea is so firming fixed into their mindsdifferent isn’t bad….different is different – be it deliberate (in my case, or choosing to wear unsual clothes) or maybe something we are born with (like a scar for example)

good – creeping weights…at that point on strength were even half a kilo is a big improvement
feeling pretty beat up tbh….I even overslept this morning, which is super rare! so I know im due a rest
