    standard week coming up for me – work/training.

    gratefully, i have never had diagnosed depression.

    i have had many things throughout my life to deal with, all of which arent relevant to my blog or things i want to share. i deliberately do not share many personal things about myself because i simply dont want to.

    basing a persons level of ‘happiness’ from social media isnt wise. People show what they want to show – i am very much myself, everything i say / post is genuine, BUT i do not use platforms to voice negativity or problems, again, because I dont want to….so what you see / read is honest, but fairly one sided.


    calm – i have learnt to be calm from the life i lead because it is the most efficient way to be. calmness comes with age and experience.

    morning all

    things are going well

    nothing out of the ordinary to report!

    my knee is coping haha just gets inflammed but no pain during movements

    quad day today – aiming to add tiiiiiiiiiiny biscuit plates and see what i can do

    from BJJ i mainly have DOMS in my neck and front delts…which makes sense! but other than that my body is recovering well from everything πŸ™‚

    work is super busy as usual, so its literally just work / train / cook / clean

    try to add a bit of social for a few hours every now then to maintain my sanity haha

    yes, i have outline my set up but not provided details – see below

    my plan is as follows

    quads/push

    hams/pull

    fit into a 2 on 1 off set up to fit with jordans PPL.

    when the day falls on a single session, i then add glute drive into that session and another set of adductor.

    i do the leg work at the start – basically half a leg session (quad or ham) in the fashion we have always done, and then a lower volume push or pull, again in the same way we have always done – by this i mean movements, reps, set up is all the same.

    i have 2 variations of each and just go between the 2.

    as there is no set rotation to which movements back to back i will swap/alter volume as needed

    ie if quad day has BB squat, and then im due to do trap bar RDL the next day, i MAY alter the pull or alter the rep range if posterior is tired

    so i have a set plan with movements and numbers, but its subject to change based on the placement across the week.

    everyone had a nice weekend i trust?

    we were in edinburgh for a fleeting 24 hours to see the rugby, it was so so so good, loved every minute of the whole mini trip with jordan

    i drove – which tbf didnt even feel long, and was a pleasure

    Hams today – good session, nice and strong, i dont like the standing ham machine….its just not feeling quite right. my hams are insanely weak on iso movements so i need to change this

    ill keep working πŸ™‚

    leg day today – knee will likely hate me later but no pain at all and the session was great

    its just inflammed – hard to explain

    any questions from anyone? or happy for me to just ramble and update as i go ? πŸ™‚

    good day today – rest day from weights

    last 2 sessions were great – nice and strong

    my knee is feeling a little inflamed so ill just be aware of that, i dont see it as an issue and it wont stop me from doing or pursuing!

    weighed myself yesterday just out of curiosity….

    lets play the guess the weight game!?

    ill provide a few facts

    assistance free for 6 months

    stage weight = 152lbs / 69.1 kg

    heaviest off season weight last session = 185 ish lbs / 84 kg

    place your bets!

    last day of january!

    decided to add 50 extra carb on the days i do some cardio based training – sensible move.

    had a great day yesterday – nice and productive

    quad and push today – i am tired to be honest, but that wont affect things

    we have a double rest day this weekend as we are watching the rugby and having a night away (this was my christmas gift from jordan) so ill plough through this week and that should sort me up ….a lie in would be a dream as well!

    morning

    very very good hammy session yesterday

    body is laboured today!

    as jordan mentioned above, he has thoroughly outlined the pathway ahead

    but, in short…. we dont 100% know

    i MIGHT try the wellness class at the end of the year, but i might not.

    im still focussed on improving my strength and physique – thats unchanged

    i am going other, sport specific forms training (bjj etc) to compete again at some point in the future as i like being competitive.

    diet doesnt change – day to day doesnt change – just fitting in more i guess! πŸ™‚

    i think the only question that matters is…how does this diet feel for you?

    do you like the foods? do they sit well? does it keep you satiated?

    how long has this been your diet plan? have you recently changed or do you know this is your maintenance point to progress on with?

    rest day from training today – but never rest day from the 5 millions other things haha

    good, productive day

    body is VERY sluggish today…. ive reached a point were i have nothing to assist at all and now im on the up with natural strength levels….love it, but feel it!

    will see how i go over the next few days and alter nutrition as needed

    feeling very positive right now

    nothing changes at all – just having a few classes on rest days

    training is still 2 on 1 off – alternating between, hams & pull, and, quads & push

    i upped my training day food

    just a smidge

    25c and 5f , but applied this to all days and not just the biggest leg day as i was going to

    seems sensible given the situation and much needed

    rest day today

    was in and out like a yoyo!

    vets / work / food shop / saw mum, sister and nephew for a little bit / housework etc etc

    good day though πŸ™‚
