jack…we don’t have down time…I like to always have a goal in mind, I pretty much live my life to a countdown…as sad as that may seem that’s the way I like it…ive already got target dates and comps in mind for next year..last day I had off my diet was Christmas day…I still got my protein in but grazed on chocs and xmas dinner like every one else 🙂
the only injury ive had that has really hindered me is my lower back…ive pulled that a few times but then its just been a case of laying off the lower back loading exercises for a while…luckily I haven’t had another more major that has really stopped me

overall goal…and this is the FIRST TIME I have every publically vocalised this…I would love to be a pro in the womens physique category…that’s the ultimate goal..and world champion in powerlifting…I hate stated my dreams as it scares me a little and I don’t want to seem big headed…but I wil keep pushing and get as far as I possibly can 🙂

into the 7 week 6 days mark now and time is flyingggg…weighed in this morning because I couldn’t resist the lure of the shiny scales (even tho im banned) I was actually down half a lb on yesterday despite the cheat meal….think its guna be a good week for fat loss

no diet changes this week so it remains at training day 180p, 20f, 295c and rest day 180p, 30f, 150c

so trained shoulders this morning…and arms this evening…we had Lee Spencer join us tonight, he was/is a phenomenal body builder..such a pretty physique and he getting back into it all now with a little help from Jordan so was nice to have another body in the session to help us push even harder

been a nice productive day 🙂 and the sun was shining

if there are any questions any one wants to ask about my prep etc please do 🙂

    thanks everyone 🙂
comp went well…the video of the lift has been posted on the facebook page if anyone wants to have a look…I opened with 85kg, just to bag a lift…then went to 90kgs as the intension was never to really max out…then I realised the britsish record was 95 so I had to go for 97.5kg 🙂 felt great today and am looking forward to Miami now 🙂

went to gourmet burger tonight for a meal…which was AMAZING…now I feel guilty…lol, im very obsessive with my food which I no isn’t great so having a treat is really mentally punishing for me..as strange as that sounds!

back to reality tomoro…shoulder session in the morning and arms in the evening 🙂

another day down..today was shoulders in the am and arms in the pm…both very good sessions…Jordan was on top form tonight and found a whole new level which is great for me as I then have to push harder lol

arms were always a big weakness of mine but I have found with the focus more so on the tension and eccentric loading they have responding very well and grown a fair bit in the last 6 months…we also do slightly higher volume on arms and delts as these muscle groups respond better to this stimulus

to promote growth across the whole arm we use different grips and widths and exercises…for instance, a supinated grip will recruit the biceps where as a more neutral hammer grip is more beneficial for developing the brachioradialis (which looks cool when your lean 🙂 )

had an amazing quad session this morning

    we did

positive band leg press – 2 heavy sets, 1 lighter set of 20
alternated with hack squat, 2 heavy sets, maintaining tension throughout

then we went onlu leg extension, 2 heavy sets and 3rd set into a triple drop with partials

finished with adductors, 1 rest pause set and I did 1 high rep set

then weighted leg lifts for abs and hips

    felt really strong 🙂

yesterday got back from Halifax where we trained and filmed with rosie harte…she is AMAZING… and shooting for her pro card in womens physique, so is a BIG BIG inspiration for me…bodystation gym was great and they even opened it especially for us 🙂

I also saw my bikini, made my sparkling bikinis and it is beautifullll

diet wise…no changes this week…I had a reefed day yesterday of 600carb total, no fats and 18 protein spread across the day..went down well, all clean sources, no treats yet 🙂

if she (sorry don’t no your girlfriends name!) want to drop me an email…I can help with diet etc?

i have used both hiit and liss in the past…if you can go at hiit flat out then i think this is the more beneficial form of cardio as the overall physiological response is much more productive to creating a ‘fat loss’ environment…it increases the number of mitochrondia in the muscle cells which creates greater opportunity for fat oxidation…also the EPOCH post hiit is greater…liss is obviously longer in duration so there is an argument that more calories are expended from a calorie in calorie out perspective..but then that opens the question of is a calorie a calorie lol

    basically….do HIIT 🙂 15seconds on 90second off, repeat 6 times

Rest day today so no training 🙁

I did hiit this morning followed immediately by liss

im off to do my second stint of cardio in a mo…we changed diet a little this week…lowering carbs to 150 and having pro fat for meal 1 and meal 2…then sprints in order to avoid blunting lipolysis before any cardio…meals 3,4 and 5 wil be pro carb

we are off to Halifax later today to do some filming with Rosie Harte tomorrow, which im realy excited about..her physique was one of the first I ever looked at and thought ‘wow that’s what I wana look like!’

been food prepping like mad today (not complaining…I see it as sneaky calorie burning opportunities 😉 )

hey jack….well to be perfectly honest the first few diets I did, didn’t tap into the stubborn areas…I think it takes a good few years of consistency and waves of dieting in order to get into those stubborn stores…this year was the first time I genuinely ‘got lean’…

I use DIM, yohimbine and calcium d glucarate which help to mobilise fat deposits

stubborn fat is largely related to insulin, more so in females…so in order to get lean..u NEED to go low carb and sit low for a while

gooood morning….9 weeks out today…time is flying…training shoulders this morning then arms this evening..will post the workouts up later

    feeling good

ive got some diet changes from today…carbs down by 25g on training days and a slight switch from carbs to fats on a rest day pre sprints, just to ensure we are tapping into fat stores with that cardio and not blunting lipolysis with the consumption of carbs

not having a re feed til next weekend now as I have been fully loaded for a good week following my high day on Monday…need to run low for a little while in order to reduce body fat…I fully intend on bringing a leaner package to the uni stage 🙂
