hi matt…I buy my meat from the super market most of the time, from the deli counter when I can..pork should be avoided as it has an awful amino acid profile…go for beef, chicken, turkey, fish (not tinned) and eggs…these are all great sources of protein…additional protein sources are greek yoghurt and cottage cheese 🙂

definitely, I don’t really view my training as bodybuilding or powerlifting…its all just progressive…I don’t like to get ‘revved up’ for a 1rm or a set…it can be quite mentally tiring when you focus on muscle recruitment for a whole session, but I really do believe that that connection and focus has helped improve my physique over the last 6 months or so…I hope that answers ur question?! 🙂

tom…I have dieted on ridiculously low macros in the past so ive become a pro at spreading those macros and making big meals from nothing haha…if you have salmon for instance, u can get keta salmon which is only 3g at per 100g as opposed to 10-14g per 100g which is typical for most salmon….black olives are also low in fat, off hand I think they are about 18g of fat per 100g…so if I had a meal that was so 40p, 20f and wanted to get a lot of food on my plate id have….100g keta salmon, 1 whole egg, 4 egg whites, 30g black olives, 12g cashews….feels like lots of food 🙂
ill be adding more recipes to that section this week…so any requests let me no! ill try to add some high protein high fat options 🙂

hey Marcus…I actually don’t like music when lifting…its always on in the background, but if u were to ask me what it was I wouldn’t have a clue…I kinda zone out and I like to be calm 🙂

this time next week we will hopefully (traffic depending!) just arrived at Southport 🙂

    im nervous and excited

had our last heavy leg session today…quads this morning and hams in about an hour…we both still hit PBS on everything including squat and leg press…keeping it heavy is defo the way to go and maintain thickness which I deserating need on stage this time

had a reefed yesterday…normal food throughout the day then pwo after session 2 we had a clean chicken burger, sushi and additional food at home, such as cereal, cookies, I made flapjack, so had some of that too

woke up this morning only 0.lb heavier…still not looking full…I was quite down heartened by my look this morning as I thought I would look better

carbs from today have increased to 550 a day

hoping to maintain and creep up my weight throughout the week so on show day I don’t have to eat very much at all and keep my waist at a nice 25.5 inches 😀

we will be filming this week into the uni on the gopro and posting up the vids so it should be a good watch

    please ask any questions 🙂

nothing changes…I never count trace macros…I will keep each meal consistent in that that my meals are the same each day so its monitored in that respect but I wont suddenly start factoring in bits and bobs I haven’t been along the way as that would massively impact calorie intake etc.

yesterday was a great day for training…had quads and hams…felt nice and strong and focussed
woke up at 133lbs..so carbs for the day wnt to 500g

we are starting to increase carbs and fill me out now for the show as we cant leave it late like last time and risk me being flat and stringy on stage again…so today I was 133.6lbs which is perfect…don’t want any drastic weight fluctuations.

shoulders and arms today after a little bit of cardio this morning
