    I’d maybe start one Upper session with Back movements and one with Pressing movements. I’d also possibly have a Leg press instead of two squat movements in your Lower #1.

    I had such a good session today. I didn’t do my usual Upper at the camp gym, but trained at Primitive with a friend and followed her workout instead. I’ve trained with Fran before, so I know we bounce off each other well. It was so much fun, as well as being productive. We will probably get some more sessions in together now; moving forward.

    Only you can tell us how it feels to you and if you’re making good progress by incorporating it into your plan. Different movements work and feel better for different people, So if you get on well with it, there’s your answer 🙂

    Today has been a very productive rest day. A nice early start with a run first thing, then after getting some housework out of the way I had a morning of posing clients. I then got out for a walk and a coffee, before getting back to get a new coaching client set up. I have a couple of massage clients this afternoon/evening before finishing for the day.

    Looking forward to getting back in the gym tomorrow. I’ll be training with a friend and getting some filming done too.

    I would set it up as below. This is adequate frequency and recovery to enable you to progress.

    Monday – Upper

    Tuesday – Lower

    Wednesday – OFF

    Thursday – Upper

    Friday – Off

    Saturday – Lower

    Sunday – Off

    Really happy with today’s Leg session. Everything is on the way up again. All movements felt really nice too. Let’s hope I can get a good run of training in again now 🙂

    As above. Do you know what particular markers were out of range? TBJP Love Heart will help with cholesterol, blood pressure and kidney health, but it depends what in particular you need help with.     I would structure it like this:

    28th – Upper

    29th – Lower

    30th – Rest

    31st – Upper

    1st – Lower (Reduced Volume)

    2nd – Rest

    3rd – Upper (Reduced Volume)

    4th – Rest

    5th – Upper (Reduced Volume)

    6th – Rest

    7th – SHOW DAY

    If you’re lean enough, I’d start reducing cardio now and pull it out after 2nd Sept if possible and just hit steps.

    They won’t be as effective as the real thing, however, you say that you’re getting effective results, so if you’re happy, it’s down to you to make that decision.

    Today’s a rest day. I had a couple of posing clients this morning, then have spent the afternoon with my family. I went for my run as usual first thing and will get out for a walk later.

    I agree. I’d push for another few weeks and put yourself in a more responsive position to begin a steady gaining phase.

    I had a fantastic Glute session today. Intensity is back up now that I’ve eased myself back into training and able to recover. Everything connected well and I was able to use some decent weight. Really excited to get stuck back into my training properly again now.

    Seated ham curl x2
    Glute focussed Belt Squat x2
    Glute Drive x3
    GHR x2
    Walking lunges x 2 lengths
    Sled pulls 3 rounds of 2 lengths
    Ab crunches x3

    I like to take daily scale weights to understand trends. I will also use the look in the mirror and combine both to make a decision over time as to whether to alter a plan or not.

    Taking a 7 day average is also a good way to see what’s going on over time and using that data to make decisions. Don’t disregard the mirror too though.

    Today is a rest day. I did a 5k run this morning, which I really enjoyed. I love getting up early, getting a podcast on and running whilst it’s calm and peaceful outside.

    This morning I dropped my car off for an MOT, then had a posing call and caught up on some client work, then this afternoon, after picking my car back up, I went to meet my Mum for a coffee and catch up.

    I have a few more jobs to get done now, then I’ll get out for a walk later on this evening.
