    I’d personally switch to Upper/Lower, then it won’t matter if you need to train 2 days in a row, have 2 days off or train every other day.

    If you’re needing regular pain relief, then I would want to investigate the cause further; instead of masking with pain killers consistently. If it’s for short term use, I wouldn’t worry about the impact on muscle growth. If it’s an anti-inflammatory just take the medication away from training if possible.

    I wouldn’t stress. If you’re looking leaner and holding weight, then I’d take that as a win. Keep an eye on your body composition and scale weight and when things stall, make an adjustment to your diet/output, but until then hold tight.

    A busy work day today. No training, aside from my morning run. I’m busy with posing clients, alongside my coaching work, so my rest days are filled at the moment.

    I’m going to get out for a walk now in the sunshine. It’s a beautiful day here today 🙂

    Sodium is important. I would aim for a few grinds on each meal of Sea salt or Himalayan pink salt.

    Today was a good day, energy levels were up and I had a fantastic Leg session this morning. I trained with my friend/training partner and we bounce off each other well. I haven’t used the hip press in a while, so it was fun to have this back in. We banded it too, which felt really nice, so I’m going to keep this in for now.

    Lying Hamstring curl x 2
    Adductor x 1
    Pendulum squat x2
    Banded Hip Press x3
    Leg ext x 2
    Abductor x2

    Enjoy your teenage years and make memories with your friends. Train, be active and have fun, but don’t overthink anything. Make sure you eat high protein meals, but don’t fixate on sticking to rigid set diet plans just yet.

    It’s fantastic that you are serious and want to learn, but you’re very young, so don’t stress about being perfect right now. Enjoy the whole process.

    No. Just rest until you’re better. Get some short walks in to stay mobile and get some fresh air, but no point in prolonging your illness trying to push through.

    Drink your carbs throughout the session and have your EAAs in one go that would be at a midway point between your pre and post workout meals.

    As a side note, Cyclic Dextrin would be a much better carb choice over maltodextrin. This will give you a much more steady energy release, with better digestion. Sustain or Performance Fuel would be a better choice.

    Hi Tobi. My advice would be to try a lower volume approach and see how your body responds. You will likely find that you progress quicker and recover better and hopefully, in turn, this will alter your mindset. At the moment you feel like you need to do more and are probably worried about regressing if you pull back, so allow yourself time to give it a go and see if it works for you.

    You may have excellent recovery, which is why you’re still able to progress somewhat at the moment, but this may not be sustainable long term, so strip everything right back and from there, you can play around with your volume and find the right spot for you.

    Just remember that your muscles need time to recover in order to repair and grow, so be smart.
