Thanks JP & Matt for your help. Im going to run it for 8 weeks and see how I get on. I will have a look at that Lyle Macdonald’s book. But just a quick one, what would be a good pwo meal on keto? Just a pro meal or pro/fat meal. Also training at different times on different won’t make a Difference will it? Thanks again

I’m after a bit of advice, I’m currently doing 2 fasted sessions of Liss and 1 HIT session per week. But I would like to move that up to 3 sessions of liss and 2 HIT sessions whilst following the 4 day advanced split. I am a shift worker and find it hard to consistenly hit my gym and cardio sessions. My goal is to try and recomp. I’m currently sitting at around 18% bf and want to run a keto diet. I was thinking of cycling to work (fasted) when I’m on my early shift (5am), do my shift then cycle to the gym and then cycle home. My gym is only 10 minutes away from work and would be easier to go to the gym straight from work instead of cycling home then driving ton the gym. I try and keep my cardio sessions as far away from my weight sessions as possible because of the different pathways that occur in the body. Any help/advice from anyonw on here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

How long would you typically run a keto diet for or is it just a case of however long it Takes. Really considering running this but trying to gather as much info as poss first. Would you refeed once a week or every 10 days?

So no carbs at all pre training unless gym performance suffers and lifts stop progressing? With the rice cakes and jam immediately pwo, should I also take a whey shake with this? Thenafter my solid meal 60-90 mins after, should I go back to eating pro/fat only meals or another carb meal. Im currently on 180P, 100C & 65F.

Hey Jp/Corinne if budget is tight and can’t afford a carb powder intra wo (I’ve been using Cyclic dextrin) would you just have a carb meal pre workout? I’ve been having 40g cyclic dextrin sipped from 10 mins pre right through the session. Ive been having no carbs pre until my intra shake. I’ve also used cheaper alternatives like malto and dextrose but they bloat me. Aby help at all would be greatly appreciated.

This is something I alap want to give a go at But I wouldn’t want performance in the gym to suffer. Is this something that you just have to deal with? I’m currently running the 4 way split advanced from the site. Would I have have to change my training or just dig in and carry on regardless? Many thanks

I’ve just bought the E-Book and wowzers, it’s in-depth. Only had a quick scan through but it looks excellent value for money. I think this may take a few reads before it sinks In.

Thank you for the recommendation. I will check them out, I’m currently looking at Life Extension super omega 3 and their Curcumin. Just trying to compare a few brands.

Thanks for the heads up Jordan and Rebecca. I’d like to see this list. Any recommendations for where I can get a decent omega 3? I currently use bulk powders omega oil blend but looking for a fish oil to go with it. When looking at omega 3 oils, how do you know if they are any good, by the EPA/DHA levels? Thanks again.

I have a couple of things I findustry hard about dieting. Firstly I have a massive sweet tooth and my Fiance also bakes which makes it very hard for me. But we are playing round with recipes to try and make them more friendly
But secondly for me, I’m trying to lose lots of fat whilst keeping evevery ounce of muscle I have left. But stepping on them scales every 10 days and not seeing a drop in bodyweight is sometimes really demoralising. I know it’s not all about scale weight and I should use my mirror but unfortunately I’m only human after all haha
I would love to hear what you both find hard about dieting and how you both deal with them?

Cheers Jp, I’ve not really looked into other protein powder companies to be honest, it’s hard to justify spending more when I know I can get 2.5kg for £31.99. I will definitely have a look mate, cheaper is not always better. As a general rule of thumb, what do you look for in a whey powder?
