Good work Jp. Love reading these journals and thinking I train hard, then I read what you and corinne go through, makes me push harder
I’ve never tried bands before but would like to start. Can you recommend some for a novice band user and possibly do a few videos explainin how to use them? That would be awesome

Fair point Andrews. Tried many Green powders and found they just taste awful, pond wateresq although I do like Grazed by AD. The choc flavour takes the edge off. Veg mash sounds like a good idea, I’ll give that a try. Maybe I just need to man up and eat my veggies…..no veggies, no pudding!!!!

Watch the Back workout with Luke Sandoe in the video section. They both explain that some exercises don’t warrant a slow eccentric like the barbell row. Obviously don’t bounce the weight up and down but also don’t need a 3/4 sec eccentric phase. as I general rule I always use a 3010 Tempo.

Thanks Chris, that was what I was looking at.

Kale, broccoli and green beans are about the only veg I eat. But 90% of the time it is just broccoli, mainly because I lack inspiration when it comes to veg. Just boil in a pan….. (Yawn) Soups sound like a good idea and yes a few of your recipes would be ideal
Is juicing not such a good idea then?

Thanks corinne I shall double/triple up on it and see how that goes. Any particular way to take, away from food, away from carbs, have with pro/fat meals only?

I also use Curcummin and have done for a couple of months. Not sure If I’m taking it correctly though as I haven’t really noticed any benefits at all. I have lower back/hip issues and I also fractured my collarbone (right clavicle) a couple of years ago. I still get pain in my lower back/hips and right shoulder. I make sure I warm up thoroughly and stretch afterwards and foam too. But still have pain. The brands I’m using are Life Extension Super bio-Curcummin and Genetic supplements Trans-cissus. I take a serving of each with meal 1 and pre bed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve searched everywhere on the net to but this from the UK. Looks like I’ll be buying from the US. Has anyone else bought supps from the US and had them shipped here and is it safe?
-
Thanks for your reply Corinne. I’ve looked on the prime nutritions UK stockist (musclerage) but can’t seem to find it on there. They could possibly be out of stock. Any other sites from the UK? I didn’t fancy purchasing from the US with the possibility of it not actually getting to me.

I do exactly the same Jamie. Training days on 1900-2000, rest days are 1500. Again from cutting carbs. A slight reduction in fats but nothing major. I don’t know the exact science behind it but the way I see it is that I don’t need them extra cals if I’m resting and my gut a break from the extra food. Seems to be working very well. I will moat likely drop carbs completely on rest days when fat loss stalls.

Hi Corinne, can this approach be used for fat loss as well? Instead of tracking weight, use waist measurements instead. If waist isn’t pulling then drop food slightly?

I meant did you take your overall calories uptI maintenance on the car day cos assuming your in a calorie deficit on the other days but you answered it anyway by saying you ate pretty much anything you wanted haha I’m assuming you consume carbs from wake till bed? And still train on that day too? I did think it was bit expensive, I’ll look for the e-book thanks.
-
Cheers Matt. Did you carb up on the same day every week, and did you take cals back up to maintenance on the carb up day? I’m thinking Sunday would be a good day. I’ve seen the book on Amazon for £97, is this right?

Thanks for your reply Jp. I will try and avoid cycling to the gym and then home. But unfortunately some weeks I have no option. I will monitor my lifts and see how things go, then decide to leave out or add more cardio. How often would you have a decrease in food? I want to increase my energy expenditure as much as poss before I look to cut food. Many thanks again buddy, a great help as always
