Back in the game!
After some much needed rest days last week, I was back in the gym today. It was a de-volume push session but still, the rest had been needed. My session today was;
Single arm cable pull over: 2 sets of 10-12 reps
Single arm cable curl – 2 sets of 8-10 reps,
Facing in to the cable stackCable y raise: sets, 2 sets of 8-10,
Cybex eagle chest press : 1 set of 8-10 reps,
Flat cybex chest press/ cable press : 1 set of 6-9 reps
Assisted dip machine – 1 sets 12-20’reps 1
Incline Cable fly: 2 sets of 10-15 reps,
Cross body tricep extension: 1 sets of 10-12 reps
over the shoulder triceps cable extension: 2 sets of 10-12 reps
Good session, eased my way back into things here. Now to kick on!

Pull today!
Great session and really enjoying the mix of volume and intensity techniques within these session. Feel very full from these sessions. Im still log booking and trying to beat my main lifts. But just getting in the gym and enjoying everything. Hernia seems to be about 95% now in terms of bracing, 7 weeks tomorrow since the op and 7th week on my cruise with bloodwork booked next week. Then we shall start ramping things up a notch. session went as follows:-
SA reverse bench pulldowns 3 x 12 L/Rwide mag pulldown 1 x TDSSA hammer iso lateral row 1 x TDSclose low pulley row 1 x TDSblock pulls 2 x 10chest supported upper back row 3 x 12rear delt fly superset 3 x 15 each
all exercises had 1-3 feeders to find working weight all TDS were taken to failure on each point, the straight sets were taken to that rep range within 1-2 reps of failure with 60 to 90 seconds rest

Day 1 of going with a different routine today. Started my day with morning steps at the gym, followed by an abs circuit and also my usual mobility exercises. I have been doing my mobility work at home along with abs, but now my leg is getting better I’ve added in morning steps at the gym. The morning steps is really to help set my appetite up for the day which had taken a hit the last 10 days or so. My daily step target is 8k for now.
I trained pull today, had a few extra things to get done today so this meant training at 5pm and wow was the gym busy.
Todays workout was,
Single arm d handle pull down x3
T bar row x2
Rear delt seated row x2
Wide latpulldown (using gym pin bar) x2
Cable shrugs x3
Single arm cable bicep curl x2
Single arm preacher curl x2Todays workout had more of a focus on mid/upper back. My pull workouts have been split up to help bring up my overall back and to reduce excessive volume within sessions. My next pull session will be Saturday.
Day 1 of reduced food and I definitely noticed it drop in calories. This is exactly what I need to help re-set appetite and put in a better position for when food starts to creep back up.

fuck me this log is a rollercoaster isnt it , i wonder if other peoples minds are like this? but mine seems more so, because i have been transparent the whole time? or im just fucked lol , either way, we shall keep moving forward ( if anyone has a compass for forward, please send lol)
what did i learn this year:
i love bodybuilding, but maybe even more than j ever realised. It feels like it keeps me extremely sane, eating 5 meals a day, planning my day around my training , and focusing on lift progressions.
i really tried to love the other martial arts i did this year, and i do think they are amazing ! but for me, it doesn’t come close to BB , part of me wishes it did, as it would be healthier and a simpler existence, but it doesnt , so that is that
i learnt that muscle comes back FAST lol! like holy shit
so i am back at 282 , i did not try to get to that weight , i was 233 6 weeks ago, i decided then to recommence my previous process , but i dont need to use excessive drugs, so did 500test and 500 primo for 4 weeks, as before this dose doesn’t sit well with me , so week 5 i changed to 350 test : 650 primo and then week 6 250 : 750
i have now dropped to a cruise dose of 100 test and 50 primo , i will do this for 4 weeks while i diet
the 282 doesnt look anything like before , but i seeing as i gained 50 pounds in 6 weeks, its not bad!
it will take me 4 week tidy, then an 8 week steady push again, then another 6 week tidy then another 8 week steady push and i will of surpassed previous muscle
the goal if im entirely honest is to compete, win my pro card, get my feet on a pro stage a couple times and then just enjoy training , BUT that idea is extremely scary to me now mentally , i havent been able to get onstage since 2018 , because of the pressure/ expectation, but i love this and its a goal that i have had since i was 18 , i cant give up on it , and i can do it as healthy as poss
i literally couldnt care less if you dont like my choices here, dont bother telling me, i will block you so fast without it even registering in my head , i am doing everything for me! im just as always trying to document it all, incase it helps others!
from a health perspective, im 34, zero plaque, zero liver or kidney issues, perfect lipids and zero joint issues! i have LVH, but literally every BB has this , its reversible and not a worry for me IF im competing , the downsize before was because i couldn’t see myself getting back onstage
stepping away made me realise, i was big! lol i didnt see it at all, which is odd, but now i can look at those old pics and go, ok ye i was big lol. SO , im confident i can compete knowing its unlikely i will be outmuscled , and that my size will make up for a lack of flow in some poses! i just refused to accept that before as i didnt see the size being a strength enough, strange how that works
i want this so bad, like i dont want to be 45 when my body cant do this anymore and have regrets! i just wish it was easier in my mind
i dont know how much i wilk share on insta as its just a fucking vile place sometimes and when your head is like mine, its a tough place to share
im back in therapy for literally all of this. to make sense of a lot of stuff, it helps a lot

Morning guys ,
So the morning after the best day of what was not only my best showing but one of the best experiences I have had.
I finished in 7th place just missing out on top 6. But did I miss out, or was I meant to place in 7th place ? Of course ,I was meant to place where I placed . I am very happy with my placing and I do not wish to go back into the past to edit or change anything. That would presume that the experience I had was negative, and that we were not ready or happy with the package that may and Jordan presented. and it was far from that . I am very grateful for the whole experience. It was perfect.
Just sat having breakfast in a cafe & then probably enjoy some sights before I head towards the airport and fly back to Manchester tonight.
