163.6 today, small rise, but still very light , posed after legs yesterday and upper body looked fuller than it does after training push or pull ? (Kub agrees with this) I think I just end up getting a pump, then it drops off during an upper session pretty hard at the mo, so after legs, I hold more fullness up top.

Gonna pop round to Kuba & Meg HQ this morning for a quick pose, and then assess POA for today , might need a bit of a feed. Happy to do whatever me & Kub think it best, robot mode now, I just do the do.

Hi AJ, great job on the live feed! I joined because of your your YouTube so JP owes you some commission ?. I’m wondering for non bodybuilders who would be happy at reaching 10-13% bf with muscle, is the starting point for a bulk ok to be higher, given the relatively higher end point of a cut? Ive started my first bulk at around 15% and feel fat 5 weeks in, do I just need to suck it up and see it through so? When I got leaner before I felt like I was cutting and had no muscle to show for it so my theory is see the gaining phase through for a good 5/6 months and actually give myself some muscle to protect. Hoping you had some insight from maybe coaching non competitors in a similar position

163.2 this morning… these are significant at this stage, for me it’s rare to drop this much consistently. Will check in this morning when it’s light, and see what we’re working with. This puts me down 0.77 lbs on average this week, which isn’t a huge concern, but we may need high days tomorrow and the day after to fuel up for Push.

Slept well, but body is waking me up very early (5am) now, so I just need to be in bed at 10pm without fail.

Legs today, can’t wait to use the gym shop adductor ?

Thanks to everyone who tuned into the live!

164.2 this morning, big drop! Slept well & feel a lot better today than I did yesterday, but will still take care of myself & rest as much as possible around non negotiable tasks.

It’s gonna sound selfish, but I’m saying no more than ever right now to a lot of things. I only say yes to things that are either non negotiable or I can fit within my day with zero added stress.

Anything that adds stress, is considered as a negative interference, and is pulled out straight away.

Think about what you say Yes to, especially during a prep.

Hi AJ, was wondering about your thoughts behind a leg day where its more hamstring focused (with a RDL) and another day where its more quad focused.

Don’t think there is anything wrong with it if you can recover from it & enjoy it but personally I like my hip hinge compound on pull days, works better with the split
What would be your 2 compounds in a hamstring focused leg workout?
Would only have one, RDL stiff leg or deficit versions of the above. Then ham curls across the board
Alright thanks AJ for the input. I remember having a chat with you and taking the picture of you and jack thorburn in UFB when u were a few days out. You were a very friendly man. Hope the rest of prep goes well for you!
Ah my man , that was a great day 🙂 thanks for saying hi!

Solid Pull session today, me and Kuba took down the BOR a little bit in terms of loading as the top set was getting a bit sloppy, happier with the reps today.

Looking forward to a well needed rest tomorrow, bit of a quieter one compared to the last too, and it’s needed.

Actually got everything done early again today so being in bed by 10pm is working a treat for recovery & routine right now!

Felt a bit rough with a bit of a head cold today, but push was still very productive, regressed on a few top sets but back offs flew. Feel OK now, early night needed tonight

Checked in this morning & was happy with the look

Hey Aj hope your well, just wondering when you first started coaching we’re you also doing contest prep aswell or did you wait until later on to start prepping people for shows ? Thanks

Hey Dylan, I started coaching in 2014 with friends and the first person I prepped was 2015, he was also a local friend of mine

Immense leg session today, took progressions on pretty much every move and it all FELT good as well.

    +3 on hacks
+7.5kgs and a rep on leg press

In a good place strength wise at the moment, happy with how things are going.

    Hey AJ 2 questions.
    1) how come this time around you are doing zero cardio but lowering food instead of making adjustments for both?
    2) forgive me for asking and I totally understand if you don’t want to answer but are you and danni still together? Haven’t seen anything of her on your ig or YouTube where she used to always be present. (Again forgive me for asking and you don’t need to answer if uncomfortable etc)

Are you actually a retard? Why on earth would you ask that?
Informative that yeah ??
