Hey Stuart, first of all welcome to the site, thanks for joining 🙂

Your current position is fantastic, quad detail up to your hip, mid section looks crisp and minimal body fat left around low back , all are typical ‘stubborn’ areas so I’d say you are more than ready to enter a reverse and get gaining some new muscle tissue

Quick note on BF % too, I wouldn’t bother estimating these, just go off the look, set a ‘goal’ look for the next diet if you want to get even leaner than this it would be a case of having more muscle to work with 🙂

    194.8 – Leg Day

Productive rest day yesterday and such nice weather here also! We have had 20+ degrees for the first time in ages … but then it’s looking like 7 degrees and snow later this week ?

Legs on the cards today, good sleep and routine on point so all systems go for a mint session

    Hey AJ,

Have you always used straps for RDLs and other heavy pulls, or is it something that you only started doing once you got to a certain strength level? Do you think that had you never started using straps that you would be pulling similar numbers??

    Thanks ?

Hey Liam so yes i used straps early on, reason being is that when they work and you have a grippy bar, you’re getting FAR more out of the movement by taking your posterior chain to failure, not your grip strength

    193 – Rest Day

Sooo, pull was a bit upsetting yesterday, took the 230 set on RDL!! But….

First set strap tore in half
Went again, second set, no chalk and the grip just unlocked straight away but managed a triple ,

Learnt my lessons – always bring chalk if I’m not using a deadlift bar!!

Oh well, was a great day anyway and enjoyed catching up with Jay & filming the sesh, I’ll deliver next time!

    194 – Pull Day

Solid rest yesterday got to watch most of the F1 & get out for a long walk , nice to switch off a bit on Sundays as this is so rare for me to have any time off the gas during the week

On the road later for a Pull session at Modified Fitness , will take something big for the site video 🙂

    194.4 – Rest Day

Great push session yesterday took 52×9 & 46×13 on incline dumbbell, felt strong across the session & readiness is there for each session

Resting up today with a quieter check in day which is the perfect combo for some good recovery before tomorrow’s big pull session, which I am actually filming for the site!

    Hey Kevin,

I’m a believer that volume is certainly not always the answer for a weaker body part an in actual fact if your volume seems ‘low’ but your accuracy and thus quality of every work set is super high, alongside overload, it simply has to grow at some point.

Something I’ve recently done is just ensure my ROM is as large as possible with chest and also ‘primed’ it with one Iso before compounds, this has helped tremendously.

Volume however MIGHT not be the culprit in this scenario and you might need to simply look into more rest days around push sessions to go into them fresher OR simply a rotation in exercise selection

    194.6 – Push Day

Successful leg session yesterday felt strong and powerful across the board and took great numbers 🙂 did 2 hack 1 leg press and the other rotation I do one hack two leg press right now

now in for push today with incline dumbbells, last time I took 55×4 so I’ll probably take a slightly lighter top and aim for 6+

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend

    195.8 – Leg Day
Very busy but productive day yesterday, lots of work boxed off.
Excited to get stuck into legs today with top banded hacks, we have one rotation non banded and one banded at the mo, been focusing solely on hacks this off season & I think it’s paid off in quad tissue , we’ll see on the way down!

Top banding the precor ! Very bold move [/quote]
    Haha oh yesss

    194 – Rest Day

As expected, I took the 225 set, for 6 🙂 very happy with all time RDL strength and I believe it’s showing in my hams, back density was already OK, but I need to have it even better for this year.

Productive rest day coming up ?
